Hotel Kamei is on the outskirts of Snina, the last large village of Eastern Slovakia. The location is very peaceful, in the middle of the forest, but surrounded by a swimming pond, a pizzeria and the possibility for great walk around.||The rooms are tidy, lighted, clean; bathrooms are fine, service is efficient, though it is not easy to communicate in English; but Russian is widely spoken.||The most interesting experience was the restaurant - a nice terrazza - where the menu is nice and avrated, joining some local recipes with National slovak dishes. All those I tasted were well prepared, tasty and enjoyable. The mushroom soup (not "fresh" mushrooms in the season I went) with smetana was lovely; the sander fillets were very very good and gulash was also good||||||By my point of view, the most important feature is the fact that Snina is a key place to be used as a base to reach and visit two most astonishing places you might want to visit - though still neglected by Trip Advisors: the Poloniny National Park (a Biosphere Reserve featuring an untouched primeval beech forest across Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine) and the north-east area of Slovakia were lots of century-old wood churches...
