Penzion St. Martin — Hotel in Spišské Podhradie

We recommend this accommodation absolutely. It is run newly, but you can see that owners still think of new ideas and what to improve. The staff (owners included) are very friendly, useful, kind and they really care about their guests and their needs. The building has its historical spirit, and the garden makes you relax. The place is very calm and safe, so you will relax, for sure.. We stayed in a Suite, which is large, full of light, and in summer cold nicely. Our friends stayed in a double-room, which was basic, but clean and fine. The castle is situated from the side, so we had no such a view, but we did not mind. The whole accommodation was very clean. Breakfast was good and with all basic breakfast needs, but keep in mind it is B&B, so breakfast is not that rich as hotels provide. But still, everything was fresh, and if something was missing, the staff brought it immediately. The accommodation is situated very well - close to many attractions of the region (Spis, High Tatras, Pieniny, etc), accessible easily by high-roads too. We had a wonderful stay at the pension and the restaurant at St. Martins. We booked in spontaneously in the evening on our tour through the country and we didn’t expect much, just been curious and excited due to the positive reviews. We have been more than surprised! They have a very friendly and warm atmosphere with love for details and welcoming service. The food tasted amazing and came in big portions ca (order the rips!). The quality was excellent. We’ve also been visited in by a super cute cat, which we really enjoyed. The room was cozy and calm and we slept very well. The breakfast es well been yummy and the inside restaurant is furnished with beautiful vintage Mobiliar. Very cute small village - nice and clean. The hotel is located in old monastery building, which looks comfortable and romantic. The location is very convenient - just on a way to the most of Tatras nature attractions. It is a good stay for 1 night to proceed to Tatras national parks and it is not so far to return back. The penzion offers breakfasts and dinners by request for a very reasonable price. The travellers may choose the rooms of many flavors - from budget rooms for short stay to family suites with antique furniture - on the other hand, the prices for all types of rooms are very attractive. ||||Finally - very recommended.
