I stayed here for four nights this month and whilst the hotel was ok I would not rush back.||||It is a typical communist era building with a raft of health and safety issues which would make most UK hoteliers blanche!||||My twin room was small and very basic, however it did have a balcony (only 2 rooms have these). The beds were very small and uncomfortable. Bedside lamp didn't work. Someone's old food and used cotton buds were in the drawer of the bedside table. The shower was prehistoric and difficult to use, with the shower head hanging on a nail. The toilet brush was filthy.||||Food was very basic and breakfast was a selection of dishes numbered 1-8 and all variations on the same theme; sausage and egg.||||Staff were helpful enough but they locked the outside door at about 9pm and plunged the reception area into darkness. Coming back in after 9pm meant attracting the attention of the night porter and I felt like a naught schoolboy. Also there is no bar and we had to visit one around the corner (Life Coffee Club).||||I am perhaps being over critical as there are few hotels in the area to choose from and it is not exactly on the usual tourist routes however I do think they could do a...
Read moreThe hotel needed renovation 20 years ago. It is really old fashion, comunistic 'design'. Unfortunately there is no other to choose in Svidnik. Despite it is not dirty, its quite clean, but the time left here something which can only be improved by a replacement. Rooms: I stayed both in a double room, which was rubbish. You will not walk there without shoes. Rest was ok but gently said - simple. Definetely not for those who wants to work on the hotel, as there is no place, except bed, where you can sit. In apartment is the floor better, it has 2 balconies and living room has furniture typical for this region. Bathroom has one fitting, both for shower and sink, not easy to use. Forget about bath, it will take ages to fill the bathtub. Apartment also has separate small kitchen with old and noisy refrigerator and sink. And table - for healthy working on computer. No kettle. For breakfast you can choose from 8 dishes and its sufficient, I must say I liked it. Personel was always friendly and helpful to me, during reservation and also during stay, really no objections...
