The location is perfect if you arrive by train, bus or car. It is within 5 minute walk to two train stations and a bus station and it also provides private parking. It is brilliantly positioned for exploring the High Tatras. ||The villa looks very attractive from outside and is also charming from inside. We were welcomed in a very polite and friendly manner. Our room was compact but spacious enough and comfortable and very clean with enough room for all our clothes. The bathroom was very clean as well. Toiletries are not provided, just a liquid soap. I suppose it could be used in the shower in case of emergency. ||I loved little touches, such as ornamental Santa on the window sill as we stayed at Christmas. There are a lot of beautiful pictures and ornaments in the corridor and breakfast room. It makes the place look very cosy and homely. ||The buffet breakfast is served from 8-10 am and is of a very good quality, quantity and variety. You would have to be very picky if you did not like it.There is something for everyone. ||The owner is brilliant and definitely has the passion for her "product". She definitely is the people person and tries really hard to satisfy her guests'requests.||The only problem we had was the noise from the family living next door. They were very noisy and woke us up early in the morning. The walls are really very thin. This cannot be changed, but when we mentioned it to the owner, she sorted the situation instantly by talking to the family. I have to say, I admire her direct approach. ||My advice is, if you ever have any, even slight problem or issue, talk to the owner, she will do anything to sort it out. Our early unwanted wake up call enabled us to see the peaks from our window in the perfect morning light. ||As we are used to having a kettle in the room in every hotel or B&B in England, we were missing it because we like having a cuppa before going to bed. This is just a minor thing and is not usual in Slovak establishments. ||The wi-fi is very good and we also had fridge, hair dryer, flat screen TV and electronic alarm clock/radio in the room. ||Over all, this is a lovely B&B with a very...
Read moreFrom entering this lovely b&b I knew we were in for a lovely stay. Greeted by the lovely owner who said she spoke a little English (but turned out to speak it quite well) and being shown to our gorgeous room on the top floor overlooking the two churches I fell in love with this place. Breakfast is an extra charge of €5 a day but well worth it, always a generous selection of cereals, cold meats, cheese, bread, salad and a hot offering (eggs, sausage which alternates each day). I couldn't fault this place at all, the only suggestion to make the room slightly more friendly for guests would be to have an extra bin in the bedroom area not just the bathroom, and some coat hooks. I can imagine in the winter with snow this place would be even more stunning. Would definitely recommend to everyone I know and we will almost certainly be back for...
