Koliba - PENSION JOSU — Hotel in Zuberec

This is a very good place to stay for hiking Roháče, it’s about 10min drive. Overall good services, decent food, very nice staff, clean, small but functional wellness. Some amenities are quite worn out. Good value for money. Accommodation: the room was quite spacious, lots of storage space (but only two hangers), spotlessly clean, good heating. Nice towels. Hot water. Thin walls. Broken shower head. Mattress on the softer side but still relatively comfortable.

Breakfast: buffet with quite a lot of options - cereals, veggies and fruit, cheese and ham, also hot buffet (eggs were made differently each day, they had surprisingly good scrambled eggs). Bad coffee.

Restaurant: good vibes thanks to the fireplace and traditional music, good service. Lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Our favorite dish was the sweet pirohy. Good food, but nothing special. Wellness: pool is large enough for swimming and has nicely warm water. Hot tub is hot and quite spacious. They have 3 small but very hot saunas. Lovely hotel with restaurant, swimming pool and outdoor play area for children and adults as well. They have huge chessboard outside which is lots of fun to play. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the traditional slovak food is very tasty. The indoor swimming pool is very nice, clean and the water is warm. The Jacuzzi is lovely. You can use all the facilities even you are not staying in the hotel for a small fee. The pool and Jacuzzi only cost €3 for adult and €1.50 for child. Please be careful, accommodation assistant just bring the towels - nothing else. She will not make up your beds, she will not clean your carpet or bathroom. During the breakfast they will offer just yellow water ~90% water and 10% orange juice. Limited choices breakfast. Hotel is without lift! Breakfast is served in Koliba building however swimming pool is in Penzion. So you have to go always outside the building. Swimming pool is with cold water for children and should be clean properly.
