Hiša Pr' Pristavc - gostilna in pizzerija — Hotel in Bohinj

Service and staff are great, but the hotel is not as we hoped for this price.

We were in Room #12. the door handle of the bathroom door came off the AC wall socket in the bathroom doesn't provide voltage - so I had to shave in the living room 2 out of 6 nights there was no hot water in the shower: only lukewarm the bed matresses are awful: deformed, slanted, and it you move it makes loud squeaking and creaking sounds. the hotel should buy new matresses the room has no air conditioning, so in the summer you have to open the windows at night... if you open the windows for fresh (and cold) air you get the very loud traffic noise of the main road where the buses, trash collectors and tractors go early morning and even late at night if you open the windows for fresh air instead you get the bad stinking smell of slurry from the nearby farmlands our room got cleaned only once out of 6 nights stay the restaurant always had a lot of flies flying around and going into our food there was a "UV bug killer" lamp in the restaurant that instead of killing the bugs it irritated my eyes when sitting at the table next to it the breakfast was not "fabulous" as advertised. and offering varied day-by-day: small sausage / large sausage, have ham or no ham there are no dedicated parking spaces for hotel guests - had to...

The restaurant area has a really cosy look and feel to it. The terrace is right next to the road but it did not bother us at all. There is enough between the tables and the road to make you feel comfortable. The waiter was an absolute delight. Friendly, correct, funny and very attentive. Whenever there was good moment to interact with anyone, he did so in a very subtle way. His service alone would allow for a 5star rating.

And then... There was the food... 😱

Just look at the pictures in the review and tell me that doesn't look absolutely delicious. Not only did it look stunning, it also tasted amazing. The meat was very tender and cooked perfectly. Seasoning on the meat was perfect for my taste. The rest of the food on the plates looked and tasted fresh and was very well prepared.

Dessert had good proportions, really well balanced flavors and obviously looked really good. Even the cappuccino was strong and hot, which is quite rare in Slovenia apparently.

So this 5 star rating I well deserved by the people behind everything going on in...

After coming directly from Italy and tireless search in the afternoon hours to find a place to eat(because not all restaurants were working) we entered in this restaurant but this was bad option. I asked for turkish coffee which was listed in the restaurant manu but I got the answer that they are crowded so they can not prepare it. Only option was some espresso… Menu is not good, in comparison to other restaurants we visited in the next days, this service was expensive and on a low level when it comes to quality. Guy who was serving us was not pleasant. He saw myself for the first time and without knowing me asked me why I am in such a bad mood(which was not true and not his matter). Not only once but in various moments had redundant comments to myself and speaking in a bad manner… Pizza we ordered was mostly dough, a lot of everyting on the top of it and not delicious,...
