Gorska Roža — Hotel in Bovec

Gorska Roža is probably the most beautiful stay we have had in a long time. While the buildings and rooms are perfection in their own right - a carefully and tastefully renovated farm house and pavillon located in a picturesque valley, which is a great starting point for hiking and other outdoorsy activities - Gorska Roža is also about the hosts: Young couple Katja and Matija take care of their guests from beginning to end, preparing delicious breakfasts (think milk and butter from a regional cooperative, honey from next door and homemade apple juice), sharing their knowledge and recommendations of the region and fullfulling any other wishes their guests might have - passionately, yet effortlessly and with an honesty that is truely rare. Katja and Matija are the most caring hosts, ready to help with any questions about visiting Triglav national park. They handled my last minute change of plans very quickly on phone without any hesitations that allowed to save my vacation to Slovenia. The apartment location is very calm, geographically ideal to visit all surrounding points of interest without having to deal with hustle and bustle of bigger cities nearby. There are even walking routes to take straight from the apartment. Rooms are minimalistic, matching the relaxing atmosphere of surrounding mountains, and yet have all amenities for a comfortable stay. Breakfast alone is worth the visit for a couple of days as the best delicious local products are gathered for the most pleasant...

We are very grateful to staying in Gorska Roža for our holiday in Slovenia. The place is welcoming and cozy. We appretiated evening in the garden with a beautiful view on the mountains around. If you are travelling by car there is a parking lot next to the appartaments and breakfast are served in the most romantic dinning room. Both Katia and Matija are very nice, kind and welcomming people. We went to Slovenia to hike and for adrenaline activities but even if you just want to spend few days away from the rush of the cities, Gorska Roža is the right...
