Update 2025 We visited the restaurant again last week, because it was one of my favourite eating during our holiday 2 years ago. The barbecue ribs are as good as back then. But I was really disappointed because the falafel plate isn't on the menu anymore. I ordered a pumpkin salad, great but not perfect. The meat is definitely unnecessary in this meal.
We really wanted to eat a dessert, but we were completely forgotten, although the waitress girl saw we had finished. We waited 15 minutes or more while they were chatting, but nobody came to take our used plates, or ask if we want anything more... So I stood, paid, and we left. Bad experience.
2023 When we were driving toward the Italian border, I just saw the lights, and instantly searched for the place. So congrats, the lamps catches our eyes. The other day we were a bit late, a bit earlier than 9 pm we arrived. They were nice and friendly, although it was late. Even though the menu is really small, the foods are amazing. I ordered a falafel plate, awesome! My boyfriend chose the BBQ ribs, brutal! Both of them were fantastic. The wine was great too. So thank you so much!...

I tried the local stew made with sauerkraut, beans, and the famous Kranjska sausage. The flavors were rich and comforting, making it a true highlight of the meal. The ribs were divine, with meat so tender it practically fell off the bone. Each bite was a testament to the skill and care put into the cooking.
The portions are generous, and the prices are extremely reasonable, offering great value for money. We paired our meal with some excellent local craft beers, which perfectly complemented the hearty dishes.
Brunarica is a must-visit if you're in the area. Highly recommended, beautiful views...

We had salad and some fries, all very tasty, and the staff were great - very welcoming and making a few jokes about us in our cycle gear (this is definitely a stop off for cyclists and motorcyclists).
Good to get out of the sun and fed before tackling the rest of the days' cycling climbs.
Good value and would recommend - especially as it's quite an isolated area, so not...
