Gostišče pri Marjotu — Hotel in Brda

We spent one night here and were a bit unsure about the place regarding the current google rating. It all changed when we got here. We spent the night and had breakfast (which was really good by the way). The owners are really friendly, they offered us some homemade wine. Since we visited the place during the covid19 pandemic, they took extra care for the safety precautions, like wearing masks all the time and disinfecting the rooms. I would highly recommend the visit to anyone, since it is right next to the viewing tower and has one of the best views in this region. They have some animals arround the house, so i guess the kids would be happy...

Če bi bilo mogoče dati minus zvezdice, bi jih ta lokal dobil. Takšnega sprejema kot v tej gostilni še nismo doživeli. Gospod (predvidevam da lastnik) je vpil in se znašal nad celim avtobusom ljudi - češ, da smo zamudili dogovorjeni termin za kosilo, kar seveda ni bilo res, prišli smo točno ob uri, ki je bila dogovorjena. Nekaj časa smo prenašali to nedopustno, nesramno in žaljivo obnašanje gostinca, ki je na mizo pokrito z umazanimi prti postavil umazane kozarce z zasušenimi mušicami, potrpeli smo ihtavo metanje krožnikov pred goste, potrpeli smo nadiranje, pihanje in robantenje. Potrpeli smo zamazano, zanemarjeno gostilno, ščurke na wc-ju, sprehode domačega (zelo prijaznega) psa po gostilni in kuhinji. Seveda pa ima vsak človek svoje meje, tako tudi naša skupina, in ko je bilo vpitja že preveč, smo bili primorani vstati in oditi. V skupini je bilo tudi nekaj starejših ljudi, nihče med nami še ni doživel takšnega obnašanja. To je sramota za gostinca, za gostinstvo in turizem, za vasico, za Goriška Brda in za celo Slovenijo. Po komentarjih na internetu sodeč, nismo edini, ki smo dobili takšen sprejem. If you want extremely rude service and being yelled at - go there. If you want a great experience, avoid this place like a plague.. The owner was extremely rude to our entire group of 20+ people, and we had a reservation for lunch! He was yelling at us, saying we were late (we weren't) and he just wouldn't stop. He sat us down at the tables with dirty table cloths, dirty wine glasses. Actually the whole restaurant is in a very bad shape, thorough cleaning is very much needed. We also found coach roaches in the toilet. Beautiful place in the middle of the wineyards, held by a family doing its very best to make your stay unforgettable. Local products, local wine, all very tasty. The breakfast is just fantastic. Definitely deserve a 5 star experience. We found the place very romantic for a couple. The view from the restaurant (and also from our room!) is just incredible with a 180° landscape with villages and wineyards.

We also rented e-bikes for the day to discover the little villages nearby.

Definitely worth it ! I wouldn’t pay attention to the bad...
