My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving by rental car at 1 PM and parking in their private lot. The friendly and informative owner registered our passports, gave the WIFI password, then carried our bag upstairs to our room explaining which keys opened the exterior door. ||Carpeted room #23 was spacious with 2 soft twins put together, an easy chair, closet, desk with small refrigerator, hot pot and TV with extensive channel guide (BBC/CNN/SKY in English), then a large fully outfitted bathroom with bidet, tub shower and instant hot water. ||Our opening windows faced the hotel’s courtyard with blackout curtains, additional coffee/tea were provided in the 1st floor hallway, but our room WIFI was slow at times.||The 7 AM breakfast in their lower restaurant was served with coffee, juice, fruit, cereals, yogurt, meats, cheese and breads with an array of compliments.||This 3 floor 1903 villa-hotel is located 1 block from a Mercator supermarket, 3 blocks from the town center and overall provided a...
Read moreIt seems that someone some time ago renovated the place with love to detail. A Jugendstil Villa with Charme and flair. However than someone threw in new furniture that doesn't match the vibe, even if some of it is modern.
The bigger issue, however, is that it's "okay" clean but not really clean. Might be useful to do a deep clean of the rooms and get a cleaning service for at least once a week.
The people who work there are super friendly and you feel really welcome however
