Hotel Azul — Hotel in Kranj

This hotel on booking.com sounds like Garni Hotel Azul, there is no taxi drivers regular on Ljubliana airport, and the first result in Google search is - Garni Hotel AzuR. Difference is near 20 km, first is in Kranj, second is in Ljubliana, we were taken to AzuR by mistake by taxi driver, and it was already too late to come back to Azul hotel. Next day we were charged 67 EUR by AzuL as well for no show, but it was on their choice operation, they pay nothing to booking as we cancelled it on booking.com. That was a choice of AzuL to charge us for now show, and they did it. I can't recommend this facility to anyone, they have no Christmas soul and feel. So we paid 67 EUR for nothing. The hotel is close to the airport and inexpensive so looks good value. The reality is it is cheap for a reason. The website presents the hotel as a 4 star but in reality it's not. ||The building was originally an industrial building converted to a hotel. The rooms are large but poorly designed with a lot of |Unusable space. On arrival the room was stuffy ( it smelled). I opened the windows but found this was a mistake. The hotel has a lot of flies and mosquitoes. ||The restaurant is open for breakfast only. It's poor and with the flies not recommended. ||The location is in a commercial area opposite a manufacturing facility. I arrived around 6:30am after having to book a room last minute. The hotel had overbooked so I wasn't able to get a room, but the staff were incredibly kind (Maya, in particular) and offered me complimentary breakfast and coffees and let me use the wifi in the lobby while they found an alternative hotel for me. They covered the cost of a cab to transport me, the cost of a new hotel room, and even made sure I got early check in! They also consulted with me on what hotel was the best for my needs, which is honestly above and beyond service. Im so grateful for their help and amazing service!
