One of the best restaurants in the world. Every single time I have had the pleasure of eating here, the chef has just returned from either a hunt in the mountains or foraging fresh vegetables or fruits, which he then turns into amazing dishes. the service is informal and polite. They always make me feel at home. The black bear and boar meat platters are a speciality, and there is always a lovely pudding in the oven.

They serve local wine, fresh seafood, game, foraged food, locally sourced vegetables. How much better can you get.

I don't order anymore when I arrive, I let the chef surprise me, and every single time he does!

The final highlight is always a lovely local digestive stored in the freezer.

We had dinner here on a thursday, and it is definitely a hidden gem. We started off with some deer liver pate and homemade jam courtesy of the chef, and it started the dinner of perfectly. It was delicious. We then had charcuterie as an appetizer with boar, deer, beef, and bear cold cuts, and they were divine. We followed it up with the duck confit and venison steak for the mains. Everything was amazing. Our server was tremendous as well, attending to us all the time and making sure we never ran out of drinks, etc. We finished the meal with a classic slovenia pie. I had the pleasure of having dinner with friends and colleagues in this very particular restaurant and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from every point of view. The food was delicious, carefully prepared and impeccably presented. The owner and waitres were extremely kind and thoughtful, always ready to accommodate our every request and ensure we felt welcome.
