Hotel Creina — Hotel in Kranj

This hotel is an absolute hell hole. If I could give it zero stars I would.

I have no idea where it got its 4 star hotel rating from, may be it's on its own planet where a 4 star hotel doesn't have to have air conditioning in its rooms, can have moldy caulking in the shower, and can have broken light switches that expose the electrical contacts inside. But anywhere else on planet earth this place is at best a two star and a marginal one at that. Did I mention the WiFi signal in the rooms is so weak that it barely works?

Don’t believe a word about the hotel being equipped with air conditioning. AC only exists in the lobby. There is no AC in the rooms. The rooms face a busy street so while night time temperature is comfortably cool you are faced with the unenviable choice of a room too hot to sleep in or a room that is too noisy to sleep in, and that's before I take into accout the mosquitos Unless you have a high tolerance to heat, electricity, noise, and mosquitos, I suggest you stay away from this place. Went there on December 30th. Room was very cold. Inside temperature was only 18°C, when outside was around 0°C. Other rooms as well. The heating was bad all the time. After arguing with the hotel manager, the receptionist gave me an extra electric heater, that was a bit dirty. But other guests weren't that lucky. Balcony door couldn't close completely, so there was a bit of draft. Beds are also separated. Me and my wife connected them so we could sleep together. Asked to change the room, but was told that there are no different rooms than ours. No room cleaning! They only change towels that are on the bathroom floor. Other than that rooms were spacious. Had a TV with lots of chanels. Phone as well. For wi-fi, you have to pay €3 for the whole stay and speed is good. Around 1MB/sec. And food was great. Really enjoyed the variety of meals for breakfast and dinner. My advise, don't go there around...

No air conditioning. No fridge, although there is a gigantic empty cupboard that takes up unnecessary space. Small rooms. And that's not the worst of it. We are a family of 3 adults and got a room with 2 beds and a tiny extendable couch/futon, which was also broken. When trying to talk to the staff about this issue, some of them were unfriendly, rude, sarcastic, overall just unprofessional. Other guests complained about having trash in the bathroom. I'm complaining about having dirty sheets on the bed, a dusty fan which isn't working, dirty walls and a dirty carpet. And the smell of the area is honestly horrendous. Both around the hotel and inside the tiny, unventilated room. Sleeping in these conditions is unacceptable. Not deserving of their 4...
