I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Hostel Lukna and can't recommend it enough! I stayed in both a dorm bed and private room - the dorm beds were comfy but the private room was something else! (your own balcony, comfy double bed, etc.) |The downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen even with a coffee machine, which is useful since there are not a lot of places to buy coffee on Mojstrana. There is also a TV downstairs and appliances to make your own food. The guests were always interacting downstairs and talking about what trails to explore, etc. so if you came here to hike, this is an ideal spot for you! You are literally right down the street from the hiking trails and Slovenian Alpine museum, as well as the grocery store in town. However be aware that if you aren't coming by car it can be tricky - the only store in town is closed on Sundays, and the buses come roughly every hour. That's why this place is a heavensend because you have everything you need to cook your food, connect to Wifi, have a good rest, etc. before heading out in the mountains. The check in process was really easy and the staff were friendly. Also everything was spotless! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be...

Read moreI spotted this place on my way down cycling from Vrsic pass in mid of the summer when the hostel just opened up. Beautiful woodwork caught my attention. I came to stay there in December as a lastminute plan.Ursa was out of the country but was super helpful in giving directions and recommending mountain routes. I fell in love with the place, making it a perfect base for explorig slovenian alps. I came with my bike, which was stored in the back utility room. Everything in the hostel has been so perfectly made. Beautiful carpentry, floor heating, beatifully desined and so comfortable beds, stunning wood drift chandaliers, practical kitchen with all the utensils you need, spot for drying the boots, slippers for around the house, cozy living room with a big tv, numerous books and maps...It just feels like home. A special detail was that all the linen and a towel is included without extra charge and you also get a small chocholate bar on your bed. Mountains are surrounding the place and you can do any outdoor sport you like, Ursa can give you lots of advice! Supermarket is 2min walk away, so is the public bus stop. Without doubt this is my fav hostel ever and I will keep...
