Rimske Terme Spa & Business — Hotel in Laško

Horrible first time experience and Rimske terme will never see me or my girl again!

My partner and I planed a relaxing weekend trip to Laško with a whole Saturday planned for relaxation in Rimske terme. I called Rimske terme 2 weeks prior to reserve and entry to their relaxing pools so everything would be flawless. I was told that there is no need for reservation and that I should come as early as possible to have the best experience. They claimed they are open from 9am to 9pm so that is why my partner and I woke early, ate breakfast and came to Rimske terme at 8:50. We parked our car in very badly lit garage and went to the reception feeling jolly. There was sunny day outside and everything felt perfect. Until we came to the reception desk. I asked for 2 entry tickets and the woman behind the desk told us that if we are not residents of the hotel that we cannot enter until 18h (6pm)! I told her that we called specifically that nothing like this would happen and she told us that it is what it is and that they got this info 2 days ago. I said I was not informed of that and that this is unacceptable. She said that we won't be getting in and that we should leave fast and try our luck at other thermal resorts in Laško... I assured her that I will not be leaving reception desk until I got my refund for the entry tickets (I had voucher) and for the apartment my girlfriend and I rented for the weekend as the whole point of our trip was to experience Rimske terme. I found her "advice" to be insulting and was surely not backing away. She reluctantly started writing her managers information on a piece of paper and gave it to me. She had the audacity to give me e-mail address as if I was gonna depend on her manager to decide if they are even going to write back... I immediately told her to give me phone number so we can solve this here and now. She first tried to call her manager and as her manager did not pick up she then gave me the number. I called for a few times without a response and then girl working the desk did the best she could in this situation. She saw we are not going away and with great reluctance she gave us two entry tickets... Even though we informed her it's out first time here we were not given adequate instructions and we had to walk around with our own 2 towels while everyone else was given bathrobe. Felt very condescending and we left after a few hours. From a beautiful relaxing morning to a pissed off start of day... Not really a "spa" experience!

The manager, miss A. B. Kerin never called back! Despite the tense situation my partner and I were polite though it all. Leaving the place we honestly thanked them and wish them a nice day and we got complete silence back. Very immature!

Pools are warm but nothing special. Half the lockers were not working. Slippery everywhere - it's understandable that it is a pool but how is it a "recovery" pool if people will break their spines before even healing them?... "Premium" champagne was served in plastic beer cups. It is understandable that no one would like to see broken glass near pools but maybe get plastic champagne glasses or don't serve champagne at all.

It does have a positive side too - its quiet and you can get a bit of privacy. Could be great for retired people assuming they do not get treated at entry like we were...

Overall experience was horrible and I do not recommend visiting Rimske terme.

Ok, so my wife and I decided to go on a relaxing weekend getaway. We wanted to take a break from everyday stress and to enjoy some "we" time in the pools, saunas, spa. We wanted to get some couple massages and so... ||We chose Rimske Terme because of their reputation, and of course Instagram pics from many influencers. But at the end, it was nothing like we've imagined. Let's start from the beginning, there is no public parking space so you have to park in the hotel garage and of course you pay for it (Not cheap!), than we got a room which was ok, but not worth €250 per night (inside wall view).||Then we went to the pool area, now you would expect that to be the main and the best thing this hotel has to offer but you are so wrong. Instead of smelling relaxing scents, you smell burgers and French fries and local bear, because there is a fast-food bar in the pool area, thats right, in that amazing pool area. Terrible! ||What was even more worse is that there was no place to lay down by the pool because it was so crowded (many are not guests but local residents). The pools were filled with children splashing and screaming, nothing like Instagram would suggest. ||We wanted to get some massage or couples treatments but everything was fully booked two days in advance. Luckily one girl from the ground floor managed to get us a 20-min thermal experience for us. ||The all other service (except for that one girl and reception) were very rude, especially one guy working afternoon on the pool bar and then in the lobby bar. To expensive for a bad manners service. He didn't know the menu. He threw the plate with food on our table and so one. The hotel buffet restaurant, terrible as well, small offer, no one came to serve us with drinks, and they did see us. ||All together, it was a bad experience and we will certainly not visit Rimske Terme again and we would not suggest...
