We were 3 adults staying in a suite for 2 nights. The common areas look nice, ok size and modern. The place felt clean and the stuff was friendly.||The room was spacious but nothing memorable regarding the design. The hotel suppose to be 4 start yet:||- no international plug ins||- no bottled water, coffee or tea bags (for the price I expected a coffee machine)||- no facial tissue paper||- toiletries consisting on a single bottle (all in one body wash) and a shower cap||- there was phone, yet no number to call the reception||- the QR codes to check for more information didnt work (so no food menu, TV channels, basically no information was in the room) ||The additional bed was pull out sofa which was very hard and quite uncomfortable to sleep in.||The bathroom design didnt make much sense and there was not enough space to put the wet towels and swimming suite for 3 people.||The swimming area was big, with multiple pools having different water temperature and I would say pleasant. The changing area:|| - many of the lockers didnt seem to work (+ no instructions on how to use it)||- no dryer/centrifuge for swimming suits (which I found it quite outrages) and the lady at the reception wasnt quite sure if they put it back after Covid19.||The breakfast (included in the price) I would say was 4 star hotel appropriate (good selection + area with fresh order to make egg dishes).||One adult Slovene "tourist voucher" for one night is heavily overpriced for the hotel + Moravske Toplice is not a top (Slovene) tourist destination. I think less than half of the price we paid would be appropriate for the hotel/location / night. The stay might be the worst value for the money off all the hotels I have...
Read moreWe stayed here three nights, arriving on a Thursday. The breakfast and dinner choice decreased gradually, e.g. the Friday morning there were muesli, bottled dairy products (kefir, buttermilk), and three stations on the spot were producing fresh egg dishes etc. However, on the second and third morning these services became reduced ,and the buffet got smaller. Morning drinks: the coffee is poor, and there is no black tea offer. Dinner: same tendency, e.g. six different cold starters on the first night, and only two on the last. Quantity OK, enough options for meat and side dish, but without a real vegetarian option (only pasta and salad, sometimes steamed vegetable).|The room is comfortable, well-maintained, although the air con may not be enough on a really hot summer day (service seems overburdened) .|Pools were nice, we loved the "famous" ,superhot black water, and appreciated that those part of the building are only for adults. Outside there are enough sunchairs, even though there are local people visiting there.|Beside bathing, however, there are no activities offered either in the hotel or around, and its vicinity is - sorry, but - boring (except a nice medieval church).|The hotel staff are nice, friendly, helpful, German and English are mostly spoken, and special thanks go to the Thai massage: it is a really cosy and beautiful spot and the ladies are really...
Read moreWarning: Don't expect to find a free deck chair or shade at this pool. Most of the chairs are reserved, even though reservations are not allowed.
We had a disappointing experience at this pool. The staff at the spa/pool reception was friendly, but the situation at the pool was chaotic. Many of the deck chairs were covered with towels, indicating they were reserved, even though reservations are against the rules. Other chairs were already occupied.
The staff told us that we would have to deal with any issues ourselves if we used the reserved chairs. So, we took two empty chairs, removed the towels, and put them on a different chair so the people who claimed the spot could find them. We informed the staff about what we did, but they didn't intervene.
Three hours later, the people who had reserved the spot returned and made a scene. They had gone to lunch or elsewhere and wanted their spot back. The staff did nothing to resolve the situation.
It's unfair that customers pay for pool access and are then told there are no available deck chairs. The staff should enforce the rule against chair reservations and remove any unauthorized towels.
I was stressed out during my spa day because I don't like being yelled at by other people for something the hotel or pool staff could...
