Hotel Belmur — Hotel in Murska Sobota

This lovely new small hotel recently opened in a historical building in the center of Murska Sobota. A lack of availability at another hotel required that we find another option and we were lucky enough to find Belmur based on a recommendation from our travel advisor. The owner here, Branko Faric, was our host and our experience was amazing. What did we like? Branko welcomed us with a glass of wine together with another couple checking in, and we got to know each other a bit, and learned about the hotel. He offered to provide us recommendations on where to eat and things to do, and showed us to our rooms. Everything in the hotel is brand new and very modern, stylish, and comfortable. It’s “cool”! Some rooms have a loft space with sleeping mat, accessed by a set of funky stairs, perfect for families with older kids (5 yrs+) who don’t want an extra room. Rooms are spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and crisp linens. The icing on the cake was the beautiful fresh homemade breakfast with many food options and special touches like fresh elderflower juice and a delicious fresh mozzarella, Kodila hams board, fresh-baked strudel, eggs and coffee made to order and much more, all served personally by Branko. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a delicious cup of coffee, and we engaged in a delightful conversation about the rich history of Murska Sobota and the fascinating background of the hotel building.
