It is clear that this is neither an experienced nor a well-run camp. Besides a good location near the river, I have nothing else positive to say. The tent area is small and overcrowded, the facilities are dirty and poorly maintained, and the smelly septic tank is by far the worst feature. Because of its odor, it is unbearable to sit on the terrace at all. They claim there is no electricity for tents, yet at the same time sell it as an additional feature on their website—which is outright misleading. Be careful, because they also refuse to refund the money if you use camp electricity for something as simple as charging your phone. Additionally, there is some kind of garbage dump nearby, so throughout the day and early morning, large trucks drive on the road that runs through the middle of the camp.
To make matters worse, they even interfere with their guests’ property. Our 40m extension cord was taken without any notice and put away somewhere, so at first we thought it had been stolen. In the end, it turned out they had simply stored it in their warehouse for no apparent reason.
I strongly recommend finding another camp nearby...
Read moreWe tried to camp here today, but we were told by the owner that they are no longer allowed to let the public camp here. He was very rude, unhelpful and told us we would have to walk back the way we had come from Most na Soci 3.5km to another campground. He then drove passed us on the way to Tomlin - an offer of a lift would have been nice! So don't walk out here and waste your time! Response to owners comment: It is 3.5 km to walk to Kamp Siber per Google maps. Your place is shown on Google as a campground as does the website link and we did talk to someone when we arrived. The information board on site shows the area we were putting our tent as the camping area. From previous reviews one month ago it was being used as a campground not private land and there were other tents there when we arrived and no sign to say it was no longer taking campers. All other campgrounds we have visited in Slovenia are happy for you to set up and go to reception when open if unattended when you arrive. I suggest you change the information on the website and signage at the site if you no longer...
Read moreThe camping is located next to the beautiful turquoise river Soča. It is very calm there. We sadly didn't stay at the camp (we were there for Tolminator), but we rented a mini rafting boat with them. The activity was super fun and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. They also offer many other activities like canyoning or "normal" rafting. The facilities were clean and after 4 nights at Tolminator I almost cried seeing the disinfectant to clean the toilet seat :D We also ate at their restaurant, the beer and pizza were nice as well! Everything smelled of wood which I appreciated. The prices seemed more than fine to me, and we would actually have spent less, booking there for 4 nights (20€/night) + electricity (6€) than paying for the "electricity upgrade" at Tolminator (90€). Will definitely book there if we go...
