I went there for the wellness center. It was very clean and spacious. There were 4 large saunas of different temp/ humidity levels and an infrared sauna, a cold plunge, salt room and 2 jacuzzis. Staff were very pleasant. Hot water for tea and cold water from the tap and fresh fruit. The temp of the jacuzzis was between 31 and 33 degrees which I found to be a bit chilly. For some it might be fine. They also provide towels and bathrobe, a nice touch. The floor is dedicated to the wellness center and they have 2 massage rooms. It's nice to have such extensive services right in Tolmin. They have two very public shower stalls next to the cold plunge and in the area where the coed lockers are there are two very small showers/ toilet/ sink areas. This was my biggest disappointment. The design was such that the little area was flooded with water. And I find it a bit odd to not have a separate area for men and women and to not have more private options...
Read moreThey did not prepare room for customer. Shower n hand basin gel dispensers were empty. Air con remote was not working, batteries dead. Shower handle flew everywhere when water was turned on. Shower doors did not close properly n bathroom floor was very wet after shower Furniture n room was shabby. They gave me a room in an old building across the courtyard away from the main hotel even though the booking had been made several months before my arrival. The dour reception manager said, sorry no rooms left in the main building 😒

Their website showed amazing spa n sauna facilities and I was looking forward to enjoying them at 27Euros. After checking in, I find out that the spa facilities are still being renovated and are not...
Read moreThe hotel is really beautiful. An old castle converted into a hotel where even the staircase lighting was taken care of so the lamp looks old-fashioned with the novelty of a motion sensor to be ESG (saving and caring for the planet Earth). The room is small, but so nicely decorated and in the end it seems spacious. The beds are comfortable, the room is clean. Oh yes, there are a bunch of sockets - that really impressed me. :-) The tap water is of course drinkable, but the hotel also prepared a bottle and glasses with a description that the water is drinkable. The breakfast is very rich (just bring those small packaged butters). The location of the hotel is great, central and yet so quiet. Parking is 50-100 m from the hotel, but it is free and it is straight from the parking lot to the entrance to the hotel so you can drag/push your...
