Having read some of the reviews I was apprehensive about this site particularly as were staying here to celebrate my partner's birthday. Expecting the worst we were pleasantly surprised. ||1. We had problems paying the deposit using international BAC so I phoned up. Reception was helpful and quickly remedied the problem. And my Slovenian doesn;t go much beyond "do you speak English please?"||2. On arrival and during our stay we always found reception staff very friendly and very helpful. Amongst other things, you can buy your bus pass/tickets at reception. While there is no shop, it does sell cod drinks, beer and wine.||3. Access: we'd just travelled south from Bled and finding the site could not have been easier. Similarly, leaving the site, heading for Croatia, could not have been easier as the ring road is 3/4 down the road into town.||4. Position; this provides easy access but is right on the edge of town so has a rural feel to it. There is a supermarket 800yds down the road and a bus stop immediately outside the campsite entrance.making trips into the city very straightforward. Ljubljiana is well worth visiting.||5. Pitch sizes are very good and mature trees provide shade.||g Facilities; yes these are a little old and could do with a refurb but they are plentiful and kept clean. There is some grafiitti on one or two doors. They were more than adequate.||6. Cost? About 43eu but this is what we paid in Salzburg for a cramped pitch (you couldn't even put the awning out) less than half the size.||7. Swimming Pool - stay for 3 nights and you get a free pass. "Swimming pool" doesn't do it justice as it's a multi pool complex with bars and cafes. We had a really good chill here on our last hot day,.||8. Restaurant; there is a restaurant (and bar) attached to the hotel by the camspite entrance which serves good food at reasonable prices.||||We booked and stayed for 3 nights and were very glad we did. To the reviewer who commented that this was the worst site he'd stayed on in Europe.we've stayed on a lot lot worse.||||However, the important point is that we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed this site and would go back with...
Read moreThis is not a resort, it's a large campsite next to a gym and pool and tenniscourt and because of it is a horribly overpriced campsite. None of the more fancy amenities are included in the price which was 40% more than the next priciest campsite we had been on our trip, more than double that of the campsite we stayed in in Budapest and almost triple the one we stayed at in Prague and three and a halve times the lovely campsite we stayed at 20 minutes outside of Ljubljana and 4 and a halve times the cheapest we stayed at. It does not have the public transport accessibility we had in Budapest or Prague, there are three buslines, but they are I think semi regio al and don't run very often. Also the place is so big that you always have to walk a couple hundred meters, even though the stop is right in front of the entrance (in prague distance from our camper to the busstop was like 35 meters, in Budapest it was as far, but there were both trams, busses and Subway that ran every 5 minutes or so) The site is situated next to the river, but closed off from it and you can't really see the river, you have to walk outside (not like our campsite at the balaton Lake where we had direct access to the water, along with a levy), along a wired fence to see it. Toilet, showers, etc are all fine but nothing exceptional. There is a children play ground, better than my backyard,, not better than the very basic one in the Square in front of my house. Pitches are big and generally good, but we got one with a thin layer of woodchips over a muddy surface, which you can see immediately if you have to reverse in only slightly. Also the day we arrived there was a dance party at the pool (again not included in the price), which fortunately we were quite a few meters away from, but it only meant that we were closer to the railway (no trainstation unfortunately). Also there are a lot of parking spaces with a few big touringcar busses, inside the area of the Pitches, not really ideal. So basically, it's not a bad campsite, but also nothing special and just horribly,...
Read moreWARNING: BED BUGS – ROOM 107. EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT. DO NOT STAY HERE *
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my partner and my mum, paying almost €1000 in total — and I left the property covered in bed bug bites, traumatized, and furious at the hotel’s inaction.
On the first night, we were assigned Room 107. My partner noticed small, flat insects on the wall — very clearly resembling bed bugs. We didn’t panic, but as a precaution, se slept on the single mattress in the room, while he avoided the main bed.
The next morning, we went straight to reception to report it. Their response? “It happens, we’re surrounded by nature.” They also said they would disinfect the room — even though we had explicitly requested either a room change or at least a mattress replacement.
Trusting that they would handle it, we stayed in Room 107 for a second night. The next morning, my partner woke up with his entire right side covered in bed bug bites. When we went back to reception, they admitted nothing had been done, and they hadn’t even informed us.
After insisting again, they finally moved us to Room 104 for the third and last night. But even then, it took more repeated complaints before they changed us from the original room — and that only happened on the last night (June 21) - but honestly the damage had been done.
This is unacceptable on every level. No urgency, no proper pest control, no real concern. Just a vague “sorry, we feel bad.”
We spent our days itching, anxious and angry, knowing that a proper response could have prevented all of this. Bed bugs are not a “nature issue” — they require immediate extermination.
We had to disinfect all our clothing multiple times, and now we’re left with bites and really discomfort. I have photo evidence of the insects and my partner’s bites, and I am requesting a full refund and reserving the right to pursue legal action for the damage caused.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone — not until they take accountability and sanitize their rooms with the seriousness this...
