Taprav Žibert — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

The review is for a hotel services, not for a restaurant - and the ​experience is awful.

If you plan to stay here, you should know - the place ​​is actually a popular restaurant with all the crowd, noise, smell and so. The rooms are located just above the restaurant and are exposed either to ​the​ restaurant terrasse or to ​the​ summer garden that hosts parties, events and concerts. Since there is no air conditioning in the room, during summer time you have to keep a window a bit open to have an air and ​all ​the sounds are coming in. The room itself was clean, not maintained very well, it easily can be ​spotted​ that a renovation or proper maintenance are required.

Hot water is coming from a boiler placed in the bathroom, and the first night before I was going to sleep I've turned the boiler off, as it's switch is not marked in any way or looks different. Of course I had no hot water in the morning.

I couldn't turn on the TV in the room, it has no the on/off button and no remote control, it's basically a touch screen ​as I found later from the stuff, and you should touch the screen ​somewhere to turn it on. There is no telephone in the room, so can't just call the reception and ask about, I just gave up.

There is no trash can in the room, which is kind of uncomfortable if you don't want your waste to be thrown over the room. There is no reception or stuff dedicated to the hotel. The reception itself exists as a designated corner, but no one was there any time I was passing by. All the communication is done through the bar of the restaurant, and the stuff that is working there (all of them were friendly and polite)is primary assigned to the restaurant matters. When I arrived I asked to have an iron to iron my shirts, but they did not have one, and despite the promises to bring it in, the guys from Park Žibert did not manage to get one in the following two days.

And the last thing, not so important, but - I was having a lunch at the restaurant and the kitchen forget about my soup, I just didn't get it. When i asked the waitress, she sad that they probably forgot to serve it. The other meal, hamburger, was OK,...

So Park Žibert definitely has its pluses and minuses. The location is nice and they have a big parking space which accommodates every customer. The outside garden is nice as you sit either under a roof or under chestnut trees. Inside they also have a private room where you can host small private events (b-days, etc,...). The downside is that every time I went the service was at the least "ok". The staff is nice but somehow you wait more than you would expect (speaking from my experience). Delicious burgers and sides at affordable prices. Took the drive-in on a bike and ordered a Retro, an Italiano, and onion rings. The order process was simple and we got our food within a couple of minutes. The burgers were clearly labelled with colourful stickers, so we had no trouble guessing which burger was which.

Both the burgers and the onion rings were some of the best we've had and definitely the best in price-performance. Even an onion ring skeptic enjoyed their onion rings, and the tomato marmalade in the Retro burger was the stuff of heaven. 5/5 will...
