We left Scokjan Caves and followed the quick route out (the 15 minute green trail). Saw a sign for drinks and ice cream at this hostel, just 150m walk.||What a lovely find. It was 3.30, so no food on offer, but we had an icy beer in a cold glass on a veranda under a grapevine. A 0.5L draft beer and a Radler grapefruit (and a big bottle of icy water) for 6.5 euros- cheaper than anywhere so far.||As a bonus, the building has a restored traditional kitchen/oven which has a huge “pork pot” suspended from the ceiling (explanatory board in the car park).||This is off the beaten track but worth walking here after the caves. I think tracks 2 and 3 also emerged just opposite so no excuse...

The rooms are good, but the service and overall helpfullness from the guys and the lady working there, are unmatched. We‘ve traveled through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and most of Slovenia. Skrlas Personal and atmosphere was by far the best.
He even booked us another acommodation with a big discount, got us a discount for the Dripstone Caves and got us shampoo when stores where closed and let us wash our clothes. And this isn‘t even the whole story :p

Read moreThis is a wonderful hostel for visiting the skocjan caves (The caves are 5 minutes by walk from the hostel). The place is really calm and charming. There is lot of places to chill hamac long chairs. The tente was provided with air mattresses. The restaurant of the hostel is really delicious and cheap for the dinner or the breakfast. The staff was amazingly kind and helping. They accepted to drive us to the train station (for 5 €). This is one of the best...
