Hotel Paka — Hotel in Velenje

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving by rental car at 3PM and parking in front. A gentleman receptionist copied our passports/vaccinations, told us about breakfast and WIFI, then pointed to the 2 elevators. Room #401 was a newly renovated carpeted suite, a deluxe accommodation with 2 TV’s with guide(BC/CNN and more in English), minibar and 3 large opening windows with view of the castle.||One room had a comfortable queen, a fully outfitted bathroom with a small shower and a convertible couch in the 2nd room.||The 6:30 AM breakfast buffet held in their restaurant was serviced and complete with juice, eggs, cereals, meats, smoked salmon, breads, yogurts, cheeses with coffee/tea, and fresh fruit.||This 53 room business hotel built in 1961 is located in the town center 1 block from the Mercator Supermarket. I am rating only new restaurant Haus, not hotel/coffee shop, etc.|Haus should be upscale steak house. But you can't reach that with new interior and smarter looking dressed waiters. Firstly, food, especially steaks, should be prepared perfectly. Ours were far from that. Excuse: the cook is off Monday-Tuesday. And? Who then prepared burned steak? Also waiters should have more knowledge about food and wines. On other occasion we had more-dish menu, from "correct" chef. This food was good, much better than steak mentioned above. Still, waiters should have knowledge of what we eat and about wine card. One of my worst experiences ever. When I arrived they told us the Sauna is out of order. Then as we wanted to have dinner at 6 pm they told us it isn't possible because of a party one hour later (when we arrived they said dinner is up to 10 p.m. We were very angry even it was possible then.

As we entered our room there was rubbish und the floor. Really. A milky way wrapper...

At night they had a party in the restaurant with a DJ and they played music until 1 am so we couldn't sleep. When the music was over some guests were screaming and yelling around in front of the hotel until 5am.
