I had my first safari experience at Singita Lebombo - it was incredible and in many ways, perspectives changing. Completely taken care of - especially important as I was travelling alone - and first time in Africa. A creme de la creme. Had Graeme as my guide - impressive is an understatement. He was a great communicator, professional, and knowledgable. One could feel his passion and sensitivites for the wildlife. Felt completely safe in his thoughtfulness and calmness. All the details around your stay is ultimately thought through. From the hat you might need, to sun screens, water bottle for the cold mornings, how they wrap and returned your laundry each day, the cushioning of your slippers... all the amenities in the room including USB-C outlets. And the food! You can basically eat around the clock (and drink around the clock also). Fresh and delicately prepared. The taste! Had my first kudu tartare... couldn't stop. They also hold the widest collection of wines in all of Africa if I am not mistaken. So a wine tasting with their sommelier Justine is a must. Special thanks to the GM Darren for the extra care to me as a solo traveller. And the special mezcal cocktails!

Our family’s experience at Singita Lebombo was a landmark adventure of a lifetime. It far exceeded our expectations! Singita just was ranked as #15 of the top 50 hotels in the world, and it came in #1 in sustainability. We could not agree more! We selected Singita because of its passion for conservation and development of the surrounding communities through employment and training. Singita has improved the environment and has trained cadres of individuals for not only their facilities, but for other hospitality businesses. What we did not expect was the FIVE STAR PLUS experience we had on all fronts. ||First, the location is stunning. You see wildlife consistently from the common areas and your rooms as they roam around, and in, the river below. The décor is modern and beautifully designed – with the entire facility nestled in the hillside in a way that blends in with the terrain, leveraging the feel of eagle nests beautifully. It is luxurious without being at all pretentious. You have all the amenities you could possibly need and use from bath essentials to safari gear, top quality drinks and treats of all types to candles that are lit in the evening to greet you. All rooms are set apart from one another, so you feel as if you have your own personal hideaway in the African plains. Floor to ceiling windows and an expansive balcony give you unforgettable views of the landscape and visiting animal life at all times of the day.||Second, our safari rides were absolutely remarkable experiences, with Garry was our guide, and Solly as our tracker. They are both passionate about their work, the conservation of the animals and their habitat, and sharing their knowledge with us. We highly recommend both Garry and Solly – a top team. They answered all our questions, and they consistently gave us throughout each ride a better understanding of our natural surroundings and the animals in the area. Each safari ride brought a new experience. We saw the big five again and again. We also saw many other animals and birds. We were happy to just enjoy the ride, the views, and the sightings. They were keen to ensure we saw as much as we could. We got up close and personal to lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impala, and many other animals. Each day they gave us remarkable animal experiences based on the data they had and their own personal understanding of animal behavior. We even had a male lion walk next to our jeep roaring the whole time. Also, each day we enjoyed a luxurious coffee break in the morning, and a sundowner in the evening off the back of the jeep. The jeeps themselves were modern, well-designed powerful vehicles, with comfy seats set up high so we could see well. We had breakfast and afternoon snacks we brought with us in sustainable containers, as well as the well-presented coffee and sundowner break delights. We felt we were treated to the best.||Third, the service was unsurpassable. We have traveled a lot as a family, and never have we experienced such consistent, quality, professional, and joyful service. Ronny our butler/server met every food need we had. We have a vegan family member, so she received a special menu with her name on it with each meal. The offerings were so extensive for her, some of us ordered from her menu. Each meal was presented as a work of art and was a culinary delight. Ronny provided personable and professional service, and he was also clearly pleased with our enjoyment of each meal. Plus, he was available to serve us whenever we wanted. He even organized a special birthday wine-tasting meal for us in a special private room with a live fire and menu of many delights! We felt as if we left a friend when we had to say goodbye. We had the same incredible service in the spa where Dee gave us massages that went beyond any other spa experiences we have had. She applied African techniques and used traditional tools. We highly recommend that your Singita experience include a visit to the spa. ||Finally, without future planning, the Singita team upon request of our adult children organized a sundowner surprise birthday party for me. Garry raced us to a lovely hilltop after we viewed a leopard in a tree where we found an entire birthday picnic table spread of cheeses and other tasty nibbles, including a delicious vegan cake, along with bubbly alcoholic and other beverages of our choosing. I was completely overwhelmed as were my adult children who did not expect such an impressive effort to give me a birthday treat in the wild. And once again, the Singita associates were genuinely happy to see our joy. It was a birthday surprise of a lifetime!||Our one regret of our visit is that we did not stay longer to fully enjoy all Singita Lebombo has to offer. Singita Lebombo Lodge is an oasis of casual luxury and adventure, and it won our hearts. From the welcoming artfully designed rooms to the impeccable personable service, the delectable food to the thrilling safari rides, this lodge exceeds the five-star rating in every...

---LOVELY LODGE IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING!

---Singita Lebombo Lodge is a contemporary lodge suspended above the N’wanetsi River in the Kruger National Park. ---Our suite was spacious with an expansive terrace to take advantage of the view. Loved the indoor/outdoor shower. ---Our guide Chantelle had an interesting way of explaining about the animals. She was knowledgeable, kind and always smiling and we enjoyed being with her and our tracker Glass. ---Unfortunately at the time we were there the wildlife was not so plentiful. I guess we were spoiled after coming from Tanzania and Kenya. It still did not affect our whole experience, as we still enjoyed our 3 days there. ---What made our stay so special was the wonderful staff. Mark took us to our suite and explained everything in great detail. The lodge manager Darren was so kind and attentive. Thank you for the beautiful book you gave us for our special occasion we were celebrating. ---The settings for the meals was exceptional. Thanks to our attentive waiter Donald for the service you provided us. Dinner was served facing the pool by candlelight that was a beautiful atmosphere. ---We had the pleasure to meet Chef Nikki and Pastry Chef Yvonne who always made sure we had delicious meals. ---Our housekeepers kept our suite cleaned to perfection every day. ---There is a wonderful bar area where guests would go to for early morning breakfast before game drives and also before dinner. ---Be sure to go the gift shop that had beautiful items. ---We enjoyed the Boma on one of the nights. The staff dancing and singing was very special. ---The lodge General Manager, Andrew is engaging, always present and we loved talking to him. ---One of the highlights of our stay was getting to know Sam. He has a fabulous personality and was so attentive to us. Singita Lebombo is lucky...
