Singita Sweni was fabulous! So glad we stayed here. It’s charming & lovely & not as big as the others, which added to its charm & personal warmth. Rooms were beautifully decorated & we felt like we were at one with the outdoors … in a luxurious way! It’s on a river & while the views are not sweeping like some of the other lodges we felt like we were in the tree tops and had a good view of the river & a good view of the hippos & crocs hanging out in there.|| The staff at Sweni was also wonderful . Lovely lovely people always ready to help & to make your stay perfect. At night they gave us hot water bottles to snuggle up to on the chilly evenings. They made up outdoor beds on the terrace for an added adventure! Very fun! To sleep out there & to listen to the hippos was a very special treat. ||Our guides were Wess & Christoph… they were amazing! So fun, thoughtful & smart. We really liked them. Wess drove that Range Rover around going into nooks and crannies to get the best view of the animals. Those drives were an adventure in themselves & Wess was a great driver! Christoph was so sweet and caring… he remembered everything we liked from day to day from the hot water bottles to our drink preferences . ||This was the trip of a lifetime & we are so grateful we were able to do this & so happy we stayed in the...

For me this has provided an unbeatable Safari holiday. We have just returned from a family holiday with an 8 and an 11 year old. The whole experience is A+++. The drive from the airstrip to the lodge was an incredible start, seeing Lion, Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo. The lodge itself is gorgeous, with beautiful rooms perched on the banks of the river Sweni, with resident crocs and hippos. I have never felt so relaxed as when hanging there, the food is superb, and the service is brilliant, everyone is so friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy what they do, and that really comes across. The main event however is the game drives, we were there 5 nights, and did 10 drives. They have a large private concession within a beautiful part of Kreuger, with lots of rivers, and varied landscape, and lots and lots of wildlife. We had many amazing sightings of Lions, Leopard, Rhino, and the area seems to have lots of Elephants and Giraffe, we saw a herd of 40 elephants one day. I particularly enjoyed the birdlife too. What made it even better was that we had the same guide and tracker on every trip, and I have never come across such an experienced/knowledgable and fun team. Bernard and Mr T, we will never forget you guys, just the best. Thanks Singita for the holiday...

This was our second trip to Sweni and our 7th Africa Safari Lodge. We had the time of our lives!||||The rooms have been refreshed since our last stay and they are exquisite. Beautiful colors, layers of texture, floor to ceiling glass, natural light, and lots of space. The river view is magical.||||The staff was world-class and could not have been kinder and more enjoyable. Our guide, Otto, and tracker were outstanding. They really made the safari experience come to life.||||Thank you to GM Michael for your kindness. ||||We saw soooo many animals! Lions, leopards, elephants, rhino, hippos, and even wild dogs.||||This was a family trip with our Mom (age 85). It was truly the trip of a lifetime and the best family time we’ve ever had.||||We are so appreciative of everyone at Singita Sweni for the care and compassion in what you do every day. You are truly a blessing and we will always be grateful for the incredible experience you...

An amazing experience and an extra special bucket list item ticked off. It is difficult to actually describe what we experienced during our 3 night stay at Singita Sweni Lodge because one has to physically experience what staying at the lodge is like. I'm going to try and give you my thoughts in as brief a summary as possible. Here goes. 1) Our arrival and welcome the afternoon we arrived. 10/10. 2) Our room - overlooking the river. 10/10. 3) The food, from morning pre-game drive snacks, to breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snacks, evening game drive drinks and snacks and dinner. 10/10. 4) Lodge service & staff. 10/10. 5) Our personal game ranger Margeaux and tracker Daniel were 11/10. Extra-ordinary. I could carry on, but I think by now you you should have gathered what my rating is. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Singita Sweni Lodge, it will leave the same impression on you that it did on me. I salute the whole Singita Team. Thank you.

Much smaller than its beautiful big sister Lebombo, Sweni is more intimate and quieter. The decor is bold and modern whilst retaining a friendly demeanor. A little too dark for my taste. The kitchen is open and you can watch the chefs create. The food is healthy and delicious. I received a warm welcome.

Detailed review on the Lebombo Lodge page/pin. The two lodges are separated by some walking distance, but very similar in service and quality. Sweni has fewer rooms that Lebombo and thus it is more exclusive and visibly more colourful in its decor. Also, the suites at Sweni have two showers and two toilets.
