We spent one night @ Cape Agulhas Backpackers and we were extremely dissatisfied. We tried to book in earlier as my sister-in-law was really sick and was bluntly refused, because we were told that check in time is strictly 15H00. A black board was also erected by the entry with this message saying “NO EARLY CHECK INS, CHECK IN TIME 15H00 STRICTLY”. When we eventually did get in, we found a notice saying Check in 14H00 and Check out 10H00. So why make up the time difference, especially because they know we had someone quite sick in the car?? The receptionist is also very rude and obviously has not had any training in dealing with clients. This made our stay unbearable and we could not wait to check out the following morning. I will NEVER recommend this place and I will make a point of it to tell my friends and...

Every staff there was sooooo friendly and helpful, they had a great positive and contagious energy. The owner Erin was so passionate and spent 1.5 hours giving us travelling tips and advice for South Africa because she's travelled all around and knows the coolest places to visit and best backpackers to stay at. She is an incredible human being and it feels great supporting a local business with such dedicated owners. It was obvious that even after 14 years, she loved and cared for the backpackers with such passion! She is truly caring and compassionate. I feel lucky that I've met such an inspiring and loving person. The place is also beautifully decorated and clean and they will make you feel at home. See you...

We stayed here for two nights. The most colorful backpackers so far. Really beautiful and an amazing place. 7 kms to Cape Agulhas South most point. Monday’s are the busiest and you need to be there then. Great groups stay here on there garden route tour. The backpackers makes a great dinner and all eat as one family. We took a room and was all worth it. First time we had a electric heated mattress and another bed had an electric heated blanket. Simply amazing.

What an absolute surprise! We will definitely be back for more. Anything and everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. Super clean facilities. Everything has a personal touch and although it may not be every one's taste, we love the magical vibe and decor. Whilst in bed I noticed the bearded fish.... 🤣🤣🤣 Definitely worth supporting. Great value, great service.

A place that captures the true essence of backpacking around South Africa. The vibe in the bar is great, with Munya being the best host for a good braai or potjie and a few drinks and music afterwards. The whole location feels fun and funky, the rooms are good, and it’s close to the beach! What more could you want!
