My partner and I came away on a little getaway for 2 nights and had the most amazing experience!
From the get-go we received the kindest and most hospitable service. Responses were very friendly, and super quick too. The self-catering aspect makes it incredibly easy to check-in and out, which we greatly appreciated - also giving a sense of privacy and efficiency moving in and out. Communication was clear throughout, and Lois-Mari made such a great effort to keep us informed of all the information needed to make our stay as fantastic as it was. Also the chocs, the brut left in an ice bucket for us and a bottle of their wine was the sweetest touch.
The rooms were kitted out with absolutely everything we could possibly need. From electric glass stove, medium fridge, kettle, microwave, airfryer, pots/pans, all necessary glasses and dishes, to hairdryer, humidifier, aircon, mini heater fan, clothes steamer, and TV with Netflix & DSTV.
Not to mention a vanity space to do hair & make-up, relaxing outdoor chairs, a table with chairs to eat outside/inside, extra cusions, swimming towels, bath towels, the softest robes and an extra big soft blanket - we felt completely taken care of!
The room and bed felt more than spacious enough for us (which was great for my 6'5" partner), even the shower was perfect height. Only downside to mention, which comes with the territory being a heritage site, is the wine tank room's walls/ceiling would crumble a bit so we noticed it on our bags and the tables/floor, and even in the bed after the first day which caused us to be shaking off the bedding a few times. But also out of their control and comes with the experience!
The location was perfect for us - close enough to town that it was easy to get around, but far away enough to feel the privacy and escape we were seeking.
The views are absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to witness the snow on the mountain from across the beautiful lake. Unfortunately the weather, at 3°-10°, was a bit too chilly for us to make use of the pool and jacuzzies but we are already planning our trip back in the Summer!
Thank you so so much again Lois-Mari & Willie for the incredible hospitality and experience, we cannot express our gratitude enough. Needless to say, we will see...

From the moment you arrive at Le Héritage and you enter the over 2 centuries old 2.5 meter wine tank converted into luxury accommodation, you get the sense that you have just stepped into an amazing piece of history, that you will most probably find nowhere else in the world!
Lois-Marie and her staff has gone to great lengths to make our stay as comfortable as possible, with a complimentary bottle of red wine as well as a breakfast hamper with more than enough food to feed a hungry bear! 🐻
Being a long weekend, Lois-Marie and her husband Willie even gave us a surprise gift at the end of our stay that we will cherish for as long as we live.
Their generosity has been more than we could have ever asked for or could have expected. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.
The attention to detail and cleanliness is also very obvious when you walk into the unit with everything in its place as one would expect.
You get the feeling of a cozy little hideaway spot you’d want to come back to again and again!
The views of the Du Toitskloof mountains makes it even more special and the serenity we experienced made it hard for us to leave again.
My wife Annerine and I also enjoyed swimming in the 19 meter pool, and at night time the pool gives off a spectacular ambiance with its blue lights. You feel like you’re being transported somewhere in Greece.
We can certainly recommend Le Héritage to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind from the daily routine. You will not be disappointed!

I paid for two nights and could only manage the claustrophobia for 2 hours before my fiancé and I approached the owner to say that we didn't feel comfortable in their accommodation and would prefer to leave even after driving for an hour to get there.
Instead of attempting to remedy the problem we were met with a matter of fact "oh well" type approach. I even proposed that they retain the payment for the entire first day if they'd refund us for the second, which they point-blank refused. One would tend to have thought that this was a reasonable proposal, but they obviously did not.
If you're looking for a hospitable or empathetic approach, this isn't the place for you.
Their defense was that they'd been running for A WHOLE 6 months without complaint and that this was their first which made them unable to fathom how I could be unhappy.
Here's a bit of advice: 1.) In your industry reputation is everything and shouldn't be sacrificed at the expense of trying to hold onto a couple of bucks which you're not actually entitled to and, 2.) You'll undoubtedly have more unsatisfied guests in future and if your ability to problem-solve doesn't improve then more of these reviews will follow.
Keep the money Le Heritage, my mortgage wasn't exactly...
