The Adara Restaurant — Restaurant in Drakenstein Local Municipality

We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant yesterday. Wow what a beautiful restaurant set in gorgeous garden setting. There's a Cosy, intimate indoor area if needed. The food prepared by renowned chef Edgar was simply divine. My husband did the wine tasting. The wines are gorgeous. We started with Edgar's Caesar salad and the watermelon ensemble. Heavenly. My husband had the fillet rare, perfectly cooked with a butter sauce and marmalade side. My main was the springboks loin with the most delicious sides and vegetables. The portions are good. We finished with the baked yogurt and berries. They cater for kids, my son had a crispy snitzel.. I highly recommend this scenic....

this is a beautiful destination in the winelands and the recently opened restaurant Adara has certainly enhanced the culinary scene that is evolving around Paarl. Located in a exceptionally well restored historic building the ambiance is that of style, comfort with very friendly service. The menu is full of interesting creations however the stand out dish is the Wiener Schnitzel, so masterfully done one cannot get it better in Austria. Comes with chips, parsley potatoes or potato salad and a superb cranberry chutney. The dish is currently as a special but for sure it will become a permanent feature on the menu for it is a great signature dish

We only stopped for a glass of champagne and a beer. The MCC was great, and Windhoek draught, as usual, super - we were a bit disappointed that there were not a few German beers at least - we love a good Weiss beer, especially in summer. The wine list was great and something for everyone - variety of choices. It is a really beautiful place, and atmosphere under the old oaks deserves 6 stars. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We cannot vouch for the food as we did not eat, but patrons around us’ food...
