Unbelievably Disappointing Experience

I am absolutely astonished by the level of service—or rather, the complete lack of it—at this establishment. After making full payment, I was shockingly refused entry at night on Thursday. Upon making a reservation, my staff informed the lodge that my flight lands at 21:00 and only then will I be making the drive to Paarl. This is not just unprofessional; it is outright unacceptable and put my life in danger.

One expects a guest lodge to uphold basic hospitality standards, but instead, I was met with indifference and disrespect. The owner did not attempt to assist and simply told me that I can go looking for alternative lodging in town and that I would be forfeiting my payment. No effort was made to resolve the issue, and I was left stranded after honoring my side of the agreement. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an establishment that claims to offer accommodations.

No apology has been forthcoming or even a courtesy call to ensure that I made it safe- wherever I ended up going.

The rooms are nicely appointed and feature a TV that allows you to stream your favorite shows, a small fridge, coffee station, nice bathroom with all the usual goodies you need, AC in the room, comfy bed, etc. In the morning they serve a delicious cooked breakfast.

Jolande and her staff team provided wonderful service across the time we spent there. The breakfasts were plentiful, varied and always timely. The sting was attractive and the pool and garden was pleasant to sit around and the children in our party made the most of it.
