Enjoy Guest House — Hotel in Eastern Cape

I pre-booked in on the 15 December 2021 ,the place looked nice and clean on the pictures and the price was affordable just as a rest stop. When I arrived at the place the room had a foul odour, the bedding was dirty and the towels had a foul odour. The shower floor was dirty, the carpets were full of burn holes and the room smelled foul with a mixture of damp. I called the owner to request a different room however they were fully booked, I very respectfully asked for a refund so I could find alternative accommodation. The owner was rude and arrogant and blamed me for booking cheap accommodation, I've never encountered such an unsettling unprofessional person before. She refused to refund me. Even if accommodation is cheap it should still be clean and reflect the pictures online. I decided not to stay the night as the accommodation felt very dirty and then smell was too much. I would highly not recommend. If the owner was nicer I wouldn't have posted this, but her attitude was rotten and threatening. If I could give zero stars I would. On their website I got the impression it was close to the beach and thought I would have a sea view, but that was not the case. Friendly staff and wonderful assistance, great clean rooms and bathrooms. Close to shopping center with food hall. Lovely spacious room, everything works and privacy is respected. Wow! Perfect place to stay. Central to all sorts of fun stuff. Bed was sooo comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me. Really spacious room for two people. Mr Ncube the security at the front gate was so helpful, he even carried my bag for me! Malekani (my spelling is probably off) greeted me and made me feel really at home. And finally, Siyasanga.
