First of all, Agnes (Agie) is amazing. She definitely has a talent to be in the industry. As soon as the wedding started running late, Agie was there. She helped and went with what we suggested. She kept me, as the bride, calm. I absolutely adore her! If my experience could be based only on Agie, it would be a 10/10.

I would like to to address the following:

The tasting was amazing. Food was beyond delicious however what we received on our wedding day was completely different. The only meals that tasted the same or better was the pumpkin, spinach, lamb and rice. The sauce was definitely not a creamy garlic sauce. The beef was very dry and the noodle salad was horrible and not the same noodle salad that we had at the tasting. The noodle salad on our day was so sour and all our guests complained. The desert was top tier. My husband and I were both very disappointed with what we wanted vs what we got. Most of our guests had an upset stomach the next day, although we have no proof, I am absolutely sure it was something to do with the food. Buffet: while we paid R30 extra per head, which I feel is very unfair considering you as a venue should quote clients a bit more to work in the price if the meat and food prices goes up, half of our guests didn't even get lamb to eat. When I asked you guys to bring more lamb out as some of the guests haven't had, the only response I got was the staff pulling up their shoulders and saying it's finished. WE PAID FOR 75 GUESTS, WHERE ONLY 56 WERE CATERED FOR. 6 guests didn't attend so how was there not enough if 6 people didn't even eat at the wedding. Highly disappointed in a 4 star venue. Service: I had to beg for chairs for our DJ multiple times and they only gave them a little while before the wedding started. My flower supplier had her sugar drop as she is a diabetic. The staff were so slow to bring her something to lift it. I do not expect the venue to be babysitters to our guests, but as we paid almost R60 000, we wouldve hoped for quicker service, and the poor service is absolutely blowing my mind. Costs: so may hidden costs which I feel should be discussed longer before the wedding or stipulated in the contract. Decor: the table cloths were dirty and ripped in some places. My maid of honor even asked me if we had a cheap package as it seemed that we had received all the scrappy decor/linen for our tables. Manager's Attitude: when accolades made the mistake on our invoice in April 2025, Grant had the audacity to tell us that we want to take Accolade's money and it looks like we want to steal from the venue. My husband and I was raised in a Christian home with Biblical values and i felt like he just stepped on that without concidering how we as the couple will and did feel in that moment.

Overall I will NEVER ever reccomend Accolades to anyone as it was not up to par and a waste of our money. Accolades is money hungry and they do not care about their clients. There is a handful of staff that i really want to thank for all their hard work. If it wasn't for all the things that pissed us off about the venue itself, it would've been an amazing day I would do over...

Very beautiful place with awesome gardens and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival, reception were very kind and made a plan to serve some dinner, although we didn't book for dinner, which we appreciated. We were the only ones for dinner though. We were very tired driving from the Cape province and hoping for a good night's sleep. What a disaster. It seemed the 2 ladies next door were there for a wedding the following day, and were busy the whole night, sounded like moving furniture around, walking very close right past our door, walking up and down screaming / talking loudly in their language the whole night going to other rooms. Didn't sleep a wink. The walls are paper thin. Ask the ladies during the night to be quiet as we are trying to sleep. One lady responded with a "sorry". The next morning at breakfast I talked to that dame lady and suddenly she can't understand me and she walked away. Reported it to reception also and they were apologetic and surprised by their behavior. Although it's a beautiful venue with kind and good staff, confirm there are no function the following day or the same night...

Edit to respond to venue reply: there was brocoli, sweet potato and potato wedges - so 2 starches and 1 vegetable option. I had asked for a toasted cheese on white when I was told that I was supposed to eat the accompaniments only as there was no vegetarian option. As the venue, if you are told that there are 2 vegetarians, you should offer an alternative beyond leave out the meat please. We are human and want actual food. The organiser was kind yes, but the sandwich was going to be charged for which was fine but it was not what I asked for. All I asked for was a toasted cheese only, I didn't ask for tomato on it. Again, this is a gorgeous venue but please be more inclusive in terms of meals. Original review. Considering that it is 2025, the standard buffet should offer more than just the vegetable accompaniments and salad as the vegetarian option. Being vegetarian, doesn't mean that I want to starve or be given a strange looking congealed meal after waiting half an hour. How difficult is a simple macaroni and cheese? The venue itself is quite pretty so it is a shame that the food was so...

The staff for me were the outstanding aspect. Th venue look is not bad. Some rooms don't have a bathroom door which needs looking into. The breakfast is fair. The WiFi isn't the easiest to use. The conferencing venue is okay the lighting could be looked at. The whole set up is done well. The rooms were large. The garden was immaculate. There was an issue that needed maintenance and I assume it was fixed. The Shower heads could be fixed or replaced to be more effective and efficient. Gaining a Halal breakfast should be looked into. All other meals were sourced well. At the conference many people complained of being ill. There should be an investigation into this if it was something we ate. Overall a good stay.

We booked an overnight stay because of an annual company event and we did not want to really enjoy ourselves and then uber. The room we had was beautiful and set next to a water feature. Enough shampoo, shower gel and hand lotion supplied. The tea and coffee station was well stocked although little pouches of long life milk would have been better. Check in and check out was effortless and staff friendly. The event catering and timeous delivery of courses were exceptional. Even managed some photos of the butterflies in migration.
