Blyde Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Gauteng

Bed and not breakfast. Owner of the accommodation is kind and friendly, there is free wifi but no breakfast. Don't know why it is called A ''B & B'' then, false advertising I suppose. You are in rather close proximity to the household, so you may hear children crying from time to time but overall you will have privacy. No pets allowed wich is good.

Your room has a large comfortable and clean double bed, ablutions with a shower with hot running water which was great. You have a mini fridge, kettle and microwave with suitable electrical sockets to charge your phone/Notebook, a tv with streaming options IF you have your own streaming account and such.

The area is what you'd expect, you can go walking at the nearby Homestead Lake, there is a KFC/McDonald's nearby, but other than that, there is not much else.

We are a young couple at our 30s WILL NEVER EVER advise anyone to visit the Blyde The host treated us in such a horrible way i can't even find a proper word to describe the way he was so rude because we had a few drinks ..told us their policies doesn't allow alchohol in their premises or intoxicated people,rules which are not on their website. I feel scammed because if the rules were there would have looked at other options or not bring any drinks or food with me. We were standing outside the gate and they even threatened to call security for me and my partner because I refused to leave without my refund ,they then gave us our money back with a little bit extra disrespecting us even more told us they dont need the change ..0% respect for guests. it was late ..had to search for...
