Currently the hotel is a work in progress seeing as they are undergoing construction but if you can overlook this you can enjoy the simple pleasures of this hotel. Firstly, the rooms are exquisite and they have a natural and earthy feel to them. The only suggestion that I would make is to make cupboard space seeing as there is none and to possibly have bar fridges in the rooms. The restuarant which forms part of the place is absolutely stunning and the food was exceptional. The restuarant has an open kitchen and this gives it a cosy feel. The staff (allround) are attentive and well-trained which was very pleasing to see. The place itself is so magical. It feels like a great hidden gem in Gauteng. It's got a countryside atmosphere to it. You can find quite a few animals roaming around, out - door hot tubs overlooking nature and so many calming lake views. Read moreI was actually disappointed from the parking lot. The whole construction work and renovations happening from the point of entry right through the restaurant is actually not on. Where were seated outside it was smelly of which we tried to understand because there are animals around but the flies were a complete turn off, however your food was delicious although we actually had to wait for a while before our order was taken. I’d suggest you temporarily close the establishment for a while and focus on completing the renovations because that’s not a pretty sight and view while enjoying your food and drinks. Would i recommend the spot? Most probably not, otherwise the food was scrumptious. Another thing my friend struggled with parking for a good 20 mins and there was no one to assist. Please look into that and the fact that there are no securities on site is a big concern.
The marketing was misleading. We almost didn’t get our promised 25%, should we have not stood our ground, we would have been ripped off.
Quiet concerning, would we go back, absolutely not.Even after the...
