An Unforgettable Safari Experience at Leopard Song Safari Lodge||5/5 Stars - The Trip of a Lifetime||We have just returned from what can only be described as the most incredible safari experience of our lives at Leopard Song Safari Lodge in South Africa, and we are already planning our return visit!||## The Wildlife Experience||Our game drives exceeded every expectation we had. Over the course of our stay, we were privileged to witness an extraordinary array of African wildlife in their natural habitat. The highlight moments included watching majestic elephants moving gracefully through the bush, towering giraffes browsing the treetops, and herds of zebras and buffalo grazing across the savanna. But nothing could have prepared us for the spine-tingling experience of encountering lions - including precious lion cubs - up close. These sightings were absolutely breathtaking and left us speechless with wonder.||## Outstanding Service and Hospitality||Our ranger, Dirk, was simply incredible. His knowledge of the wildlife, the ecosystem, and the local area was encyclopedic, but it was his passion and enthusiasm that truly made our game drives special. He had an uncanny ability to track animals and position us for the most spectacular viewing opportunities, all while sharing fascinating insights about animal behavior and conservation efforts.||Susan and her entire team at the lodge made our dreams come true from the moment we arrived. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for each guest created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and authentically African. I’ve been to Leopardsong twice now, and both times have been incredible experiences! ||The first time round, we were looked after by Reggie and more recently, Dirk. Both are friendly and highly knowledgeable. ||We were picked from our hotel by Eric, who is also really friendly. He takes your lunch order so it’s promptly ready when you arrive.||The lodges are clean and equipped with everything you need for your stay. Both times, I have opted for a twin room. The beds are comfy and the duvets warm. There is a separate toilet to the bathroom, which has both a bath & a shower. Plenty of hot water available, with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body lotion & soap. Towels were really soft too! ||Once we had settled in, we had lunch - a ham & cheese toastie with homemade chips! Before we left, we chose our drinks for sundowners. ||We then went on a 3-hour safari, and saw so many animals, including two lioness. The highlight of the day! We stopped for drinks, biltong, crisps and nuts. ||We then arrived back to the lodges where we had steak from the BBQ, dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables for dinner. We also had a starter of ostrich! ||We had an early start the next day at 5.30am for our second safari. We saw lots more animals, including elephants - which we were chuffed about. We also stopped for a coffee/tea/hot chocolate break halfway round with some rusks. ||We headed back to the lodge and enjoyed a cooked breakfast, along with cereal, fruit and toast! WOW! What can I say or where to start. Everything about this trip was amazing from start to finish. The lovely Eric picked us up from our hotel and made us feel very welcome, we were checked into the lodge as soon as we arrived and lunch was ready and waiting for us. We went straight out on a game drive with the lovely Ingrid, who by the way has a phenomenal instinct and way around the bush. She didn’t only find us 1 but 4 of the big 5!! As well as all of the other beautiful animals that the bush has to offer. We felt more than safe with her and this led to such an amazing experience guided by a woman with so much knowledge. We watched the sun set over the landscape whilst having drinks and nibbles on the back of the vehicle. We were met with a fire pit and dinner when arriving back at the lodge where we could unwind and reminisce about what we had just witnessed. The rooms are so comfy and secure we slept like babies! We had an early sunrise drive the next morning which again was spectacular! We originally only booked for 1 night however we just weren’t ready to leave so the wonderful Susan managed to extend our stay and arranged it all for us whilst we relaxed by the pool all day before our next game drive.
