I regret to express my profound disappointment regarding our recent stay at LilyRose Guest House. While the initial communication during the booking process was acceptable, the overall experience fell far below expectations.
The confirmation email lacked the necessary professional details about check-in procedures, leaving us uncertain about essential arrangements. Despite attempts to confirm our stay and inquire about check-in specifics, our emails and calls went unanswered, prompting us to send someone to the venue for assurance.
Throughout our stay, communication remained a significant challenge. The lack of responsiveness to our queries, especially concerning the accommodation of our children, was disconcerting. Despite prior notification that our kids were aged 4 and 7, we encountered considerable difficulty securing suitable sleeping arrangements. The insistence that our children must sleep in the bed with us was not only inconvenient but also contrary to our prior communication. Only at 19:45 did they finally make beds for the kids to sleep in. We had to repeatedly ask what is happening??
Furthermore, the quality of amenities, including worn-out linen and towels, was subpar. Requests for fresh towels resulted in stained replacements, and on one occasion, our room was not cleaned despite our absence for a substantial portion of the day. We left the room at 11:30am and were told we were in the room all day.
A notable concern was the absence of a generator or inverter, a critical piece of information that should be clearly communicated. This oversight poses a potential risk, particularly for guests with specific medical needs, such as my mother who relies on oxygen.
In conclusion, the unfulfilled potential of LilyRose Guest House, coupled with the numerous shortcomings in service, has left us with a distinctly unpleasant experience. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement and encourages a reevaluation of the guest experience at your establishment.

Read moreWe stayed in the executive suite after our wedding and it was really comfortable. The room is well decorated with ample storage space and seating. The patio has a lovely view of Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve. The bed was comfortable and the pillows are plush. The water was incredibly hot and the water pressure was great. We forgot to bring some bubble bath, otherwise we would have used the massive bath as well. The only thing we would change is the tapware in the bathroom. The shower handle is very jerky, and it was difficult to adjust the water temperature a little bit because it would jerk to one side or the other. There was a coffee and tea station outside on the landing, and I also noticed there was a fireplace as well. The room is almost completely dark at night, and there was only a little bit of party noise in the distance. We used the fan function on the aircon to generate some background noise. The TV has an HDMI port, so we connected a laptop and watched Netflix. Overall it was a...
Read moreThe rooms were quite okay however the service was poor, there was no awareness we were arriving, I stayed 2 nights and the towels were not changed, I had a cold shower for both days I was there and it wasn't the adjustment in the shower, the water was just cold even from the basin. And the biggest turn off about this place is the parking, 5 cars parked in a driveway that should fit 2 cars so it would be very difficult to go our whan all cars are parked in the yard- at some time or another at least one car owner would have to be disturbed to let another out. The bathroom door does not close shut so if you are there with a friend you do not have privacy in the bathroom as there is an opening from which you can still see inside. I would not go here again, beyond that the care taker was not at all friendly and always expressionless when we...
