I recently had the unfortunate experience at this guesthouse, and I must say, it was utterly disappointing. The level of service provided was abysmal, and it's evident that they have no regard for their customers whatsoever.

After traveling a long distance from the farm, I arrived at the guesthouse only to be greeted by a receptionist who callously informed me that my room had been given away. At first, I thought it was a tasteless attempt at humor, but to my dismay, it turned out to be true. Not only did they fail to honor my reservation, but they also had no alternative accommodation available.

Feeling stranded in an unfamiliar city like Pretoria, I was fortunate to find refuge in a neighboring guesthouse, which not only provided me with a room but also offered exceptional service and kindness.

First, let me mention I am no professional food critic, but was fed a dish so bad on my birthday it inspired me to write my first review. For R80 I was served 4 generic kiddies menu calamari rings and a repurposed pile of mcdonalds fries(probably), for that price I could have bought and served 3 people actual food. ONE YEAR LATER when I did a steak on a tuesday it was basically a steak left on low coals to cook like it was a hot car bonnet. I only wish I got food poisoning so I could remove the taint of their meals from my essence. The view is pleasant enough for if you want to kill yourself after eating there. Food so bad my wife and I swore an oath before God the holy father to never eat there again, my eating experience cultured in me a pure hatred for the place and my first and only food review. to the owner I only have this to say.... We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant. The atmosphere puts you at ease, and it feels like a family gathering when the restaurant is busy. The wait staff are friendly and very accommodating, but the service was slow. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive for a table of 4 guests. Having served as a waitress in my student years, this was slow service for the size of the restaurant even when it's full and with the amount of wait staff working. The owners are very friendly, and you can see they are taking the time to get to know their guests. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The pricing is acceptable for what you are served. The garden is very beautiful and the backdrop of the old Dutch style house makes for beautiful photos. We will definitely visit again.
