ONE problem. EXTREMELY NOISY!!!! I still rated 5 star because it's not by fault of the lodge. (hopefully)
Receptionist is very friendly and helpful.
The room : beautiful, Clean, aircon, TV, kitchen with Kettle and fridge, dining table, couch, wifi. A bargain for the price of R900.
Until you try to go to sleep.
8 pm, this CRAZY WOMAN starts screaming as loud as possible. I thought to myself, surely this has to end at some point but she didn't stop.
(I cannot understand why the staff didn't come and tell her she needs to keep quiet. Maybe they were already clocked off?)
THEN AGAIN At 12 am MIDNIGHT , just as I finally fell asleep after hearing a lunatic shouting the whole evening... This group of men step into the hallway. SO LOUD IT'S INSANE.
That's when I decided this is just too much, I won't be coming back.
I really really hope that it's not by fault of the lodge They've clearly put in so much effort to make these rooms beautiful and accommodating.
But I'm not sure if they are aware of how loud these "conferences" are. But now I know. When a place is a conference centre I will not stay there. The men in the hall, not sure if they were the kitchen staff from the restaurant below or??? But they need to learn some etiquette.
It's seriously dissapointing because I LOVED THE PLACE. Until that happened.
I'm not saying you shouldn't book here. I suggest that if you do stay here... complain to the staff when inconsiderate guests make a noise because it will not stop unless they are confronted..
And to the lodge Maybe put up signs telling people to be quiet and considerate of...
Read moreThe hotel shows promise, but unfortunately, my experience with the luxury room I booked was disappointing. The room had an unpleasant odor, which staff attributed to recent fumigation. Despite their efforts to mask the smell with air freshener, it remained unbearable, and I had to downgrade to a different room.||||The second room also had issues—the basin was blocked and unusable, and the mattress was old and uncomfortable, which affected my sleep quality. Overall, the hotel appears to be in need of maintenance and refurbishment.||||On a positive note, I truly appreciated the staff’s willingness to assist with the room changes. They were helpful and courteous throughout, showing no signs of frustration. However, noise from other guests, especially on Sunday night, was disruptive, and I had to request intervention. The highlight of my stay was the food. Every meal I had was delicious, and the chefs deserve commendation for their...
