One O Eight Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Gauteng

This is an excellent hotel. It is exceptionally clean with very well appointed rooms. There are nice linens on the bed .The bathrooms are nice and new. There is a large separate shower and large jacuzzi tub. Chairs and chaise lounge are comfortable with cushions for the deck chairs. The water view is worth the money as it is a beautiful view. The pool area is really nice with plenty of comfortable seating for the size of the hotel. There is a restaurant whose kitchen is open to the dining area producing good quality food. Hotel is located in a very upscale neighbourhood. It is located across the non busy road from a beautiful lake (non swimming). The lake has a nice 2.5 km walk around it with very upscale homes on one side and the lake with birds on the other. The hotel has good service and is impeccably clean with maintenance being kept up. After careful research chose One O Eight as our overnight stopover through Jo'Burg Airport which turned out to be a perfect choice.||They are very efficient contacting you before your arrival (Using WhatsApp.... if only all hotels did this for foreign visitors) to sort pick up time & place and even sharing menus in advance!||We were greeted by the charming and very efficient Lungile who picked us up and returned us to the airport for our next flight. Perfect dining experience with their lovely chef Precious who really wanted to make us delicious food the way we liked it.||Bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed with everything you need. Lovely views from the front, well kept garden with pool and comfortable sun loungers at the rear. It is situated in gated community around a lovely reservoir which made for safe exercise to walk around, a welcome respite...

This hotel is beautiful and very clean. Sadly the opulent bathroom in “Goose” does not have a hand held shower in the shower which was disappointing. The bed only has one pillow each. Cushions were used to compensate. The food served albeit expensive, is freshly prepared and delicious. BUT to have to put a kettle on the floor to make coffee, in the way of the one side of the bedroom is downright dangerous. The electrics would not pass a CoC. There is no wifi in areas and the router given to us did not work as that cable was also damaged. The room requested was not supplied and the hotel does not answer its phone.
