This beautiful guest house is a true oasis. It's in the centre of the quaint little town. The gardens are lush. We were very happy to cool down and relax at the pool. Our room was beautiful and very spacious. We were very happy with the aircon as well. This area gets very hot in summer. Our hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable and specially cooked us a delicious meal. Thank you for your hospitality.

Thoroughly relaxed in this sleepy town due to this gem of a guesthouse we slept over for a day. By far worth the trouble to sleep over here if looking for accommodation in the area. Owners are very friendly and helpful and have been in the area for many years. You are certain to feel completely relaxed, at ease and at home at this stunning guesthouse.

You will be more than satisfied with the hospitality of Theresa and Jan, the cleanliness and beauty of this lodge. Such peaceful stay. Beautifully maintained garden. The hosts are very accommodating and the comfort of their guests is a priority for them. We had an incredible stay at Housemartin during the KKNK.

This beautiful guest house is a true oasis. It's in the centre of the quaint little town. The gardens are lush. We were very happy to cool down and relax at the pool. Thoroughly relaxed in this sleepy town due to this gem of a guesthouse we slept over for a day. By far worth the trouble to sleep over here if looking for accommodation in the area. EXCELLENT! SUPERB! What a wonderful experience....from the friendly personal welcome by the new owners, Karen & Grant until we left the following morning. Everything was what you would expect from a 5 Star Lodge....and more! We stayed over for 1 night During December on our way to Cape Town and had such a good time and great experience that we booked again for 1 night on our way back. Wish we could have more time to experience more of this quaint little town and its surroundings. We did have time to visit Meirings Poort. What an experince! (Next time I will do it with my Mountain Bike! We will definately be back every time we travel by road to visit our children in Cape Town. 5 Stars and more! Thanks...

Lost count of the number of times we've returned over the years. Jan & Theresa are no longer just the perfect hosts or friends but have become family. We were privileged enough to spend this weekend there with other guests who had all returned more than 6 times. The fact that some had returned more than 11 times speaks volumes. Truly a home away from home and a chance to relax & unwind. The only excuse for just a one night stay is if you are travelling & need a comfortable place with all the necessary amenities to sleep over, but it's the perfect base to explore the Little Karoo. Jan & Theresa may stay in the Little Karoo, but have hearts the size of the Great Karoo....

Disgusted! Traveling from Sutherland to George we were looking for overnight accommodation. They had one room left. We were welcomed by Jan. We asked if we could first see the room. Jan and his wife both said NO they have not got time to show us and that we can leave. Basically chasing us away like dogs! What a disgusting experience. My Husband and I have travelled locally and abroad for many years and have never experienced such arrogant disgusting rude behaviour from hosts. Well done Jan and Theresa you have both given De Rust a vile taste. We will never travel through De Rust ever again without remembering how you both made us feel.
