We have stayed at Ilita Lodge on 4 different occasions in a Queen Room. The rooms are large, have outstanding views and every need is met from the coffee station (with homemade rusks and complimentary bottled water), large comfortable bed with good linen, modern up-to-date bathroom and air conditioning for those hot or cold days. The breakfast is always fresh and every morning has something a little different from the previous one. Their on site coffee shop Deja View offers good food, has the most amazing cakes and runs numerous specials. Well worth a visit even if you are not staying at the Lodge. They now have the added benefit of a restaurant called Mon Ami in their lapa where we ate a wonderful memorable dinner. The vibe is warm and intimate and also makes use of the beautiful views across the river, mountains and out to sea. All in all the service throughout is excellent, the staff welcoming and the Lodge is well run. Due to this and many other reasons we will keep returning...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights as part of an organised group trip. First of all the views from this hotel are amazing. Although windy at times we were blown away. We had a lovely cocktail on arrival. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. it was slightly smaller than some of the other places we had stayed however the bed was most definitely the comfiest. The shower pressure was great and super hot. Also a huge range of tv channels available as well as a torch with phone charging facilities in room for load shedding the wifi was was also plugged into this. Although the wifi was very slow and intermittent. The options of food within the buffet for both breakfast and dinner was a little limited and cold. however the best thing about this place was the staff. They were super friendly and were great at remember rooms and drinks orders. We had a lovely...
Read moreWe had a lovely stay at Ilita this past long Easter weekend. We were staying in a self catering unit S19 and it was clean and also had good views. Few reasons for a 4 Star; (1) I called in advance and asked if they had a heater/ or any other form of heating system in the unit to which they confirmed there was, but was disappointed to find that there wasn't any. (2) We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and the lady that served us (forgot her name) was very unpleasant and unfriendly, almost like she was forced to serve us. Lastly, we were so disappointed when we could not braai due to the rain, so it would have been cool to have a built in braai on the Veranda and something. Other than that, Amy was fantastic from the time I called to reserve the unit and I definitely would...
