Beautiful location, golf course and hotel.
Friendly and helpfull staff from the proshop. One of the best golfing experiences in SA I think. The pictures says it all. Bit difficult for amateurs but if you can keep it on the green stuff, its excellent.
Food at the restuarant was excellent, and beautiful. Our waiter could have been a bit more friendly or professional, maybe it was a long season for them?
Rooms are well equipped, but for the price I will think fresh milk and filter coffee(nespresso machine) would be standard? A suite is the better option if you want a view or staying for more than a day.
JUST check your bill when you leave, charged me R1000.00 to bring two gowns to my room. When queried, the guy quickly took it and removed it.🤔?? Didn't seem like a mistake or misunderstanding, as he just took it and quickly reprinted a new bill without appolegizing or excplaining. Maybe used to charging foreigner for stuff like this as they would notice it on their bill?

Unfortunately we have to give a negative feedback! This hotel is located on one of the best spots in Knysna together with the stunning pool - but this is the only good thing about it.
We booked two executive doppel bedrooms and in every room was something missing. The rooms were not cleaned. The towels, cups and toiletpaper was not there. The bathroom is very small and even had mold in every corner.
On the carpert you can find all unthinkable little animals, worms etc. In the other room there lived a 3 cm big spider!
We did speak to the mangemenet a several times to inform them what is missing and that we are disappointed. No reaction, no one could help and no one was responsible. Honestly? I think for a 5 star hotel you would expect a bit more.

For a 5star hotel.....light fittings not working, our keycards not working the day before we checked out, our friends keycards not working. They left their door ajar when we all went out for dinner. Hotel staff entering our friends' room to show other guests the rooms while they were in the room, people parking their trailer in our reserved parking. Surely reception knows which bays are available? Same with the rooms. No apology from reception regarding the inconvenience with the key cards. No response from management (we stayed 16-19 Sept) so far after I filled out their feedback form. I even personally slipped it under the manager's door! I've stayed at the Lost Palace, Cascades, Sun City Hotel, Fancourt and Oubaai and Simola could learn lots from them. Would definitely not be my first choice if I'm ever in...
