The worst I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing . We didnt see a breakfast ,staff are barely interested to assist on any level. At 3 am I became aware of a drunk man from a construction team that was staying in one of the cabins on the premises trying to steal our things , reception was never open in the time i was there . The bathrooms are atrocious the linen does not seem clean . The smell of dog shit and septic tank was over whelming to say the least . As a dog owner i do appreciate the pleasure of being allowed to bring dogs but after the bad social behavior of the dogs residing on the premises I made sure mine did not engage any further with them , one of our team was bitten by the Rotweiler .After 10 years one would think that the driveway would be sorted the damage on my car , not worth the money spent . Maybe when they go bankrupt the staff will appreciate and value of the oppertunities that were presented and a more hands on aprroach by management would have gone a long way . There are cheaper venues well within a constrained budget with better views and sea front location than this lot . Also the price we paid and the price reflected here two diff prices we paid much more. I will never return and advise anyone who asks to consider alternative...

The Wild Farm Backpackers is unlike any other backpackers I've ever been to. It is very homey and all the staff make you feel so welcome. ||The views are absolutely astonishing. Everywhere you look is beautiful with the most gorgeous views in that area. ||We checked in at the property with ease. ||The rooms are very very basic, but, it is a backpackers so that is expected. I liked the fact that you can get separate rooms if you do need some privacy, since normal backpackers don't usually offer that luxury. ||Oh, and be prepared to share a bathroom with all the other people staying there... ||||I think the summary of my experience will be this: ||Amazing views!||Great atmosphere, perfect for young people. ||Fully stocked bar, and you can also take your own drinks and sit around the huge fireplace. ||Bathrooms can be more tidy and neat. ||Breakfast is not up to standard (we could not even have a warm coffee with breakfast).||Friendly and helpful staff.||Very basic, but quite exceptional for a backpackers!||||I will definitely recommend Wild Farm for anyone looking for a backpackers/ overnight accommodation when on a hiking trip/ students looking to save money on...

I see other recent reviews about dog bite attack. It was me who was bitten by the owners rottweiler. Since the attack I have noticed there was another review from 3 months ago about the rottweiler attacking another tourist. I arrived there and checked in and when trying to leave the camp the rottweiler clamped onto my arm, causing one quite deep wound that probably needed some stitches (no medical centres open in wilderness so was not able to do so). The staff there were not bothered and I was patched up by some people there for a party. I tried to find medical help and a police station to report but this took half a day. Nothing is open on a Saturday! Owner contacted me and gave me compensation due to having to buy bandages etc, and covering the cost of a damaged jersey. Even though they said they would restrain the dog in future, I can see from another review below that it never happened and dog was still roaming free the next day. What is wrong with people? There's more than 2 reviews of your dog attacking people and you...

Great view. Staff was friendly. The kitchen needs work. The microwave needs to be replaced. The road to the backpackers needs to be fixed. They stay would have been great if it wasn't for the owner. First, his dog bit a guest. Then to crown it all, he shouted at one guest and told him to put his dog in his room. That client packed up his things and left. As I was out for the day with my guest, I was informed when I got back that the owner chased 2 other guest away. I felt so bad for them that I just had to do this. I have never in my life, seen this happen to clients. I almost demanded my money back. The owner was rude to some of the guest and thought he is the man. So people need to listen to him. I feel, he needs to apologize to everyone that was there from Saturday 20th till the 23rd of September. I will recommend that nobody go there ever again. Boycott the place so the owner can get a wake-up call.

I often come here with my family. The view is extraordinary as it's high up in the hillside between the mountains. It's a peaceful place and child friendly. There isn't any noise at night. Any single bed mattress is very thin, but you can rent an extra mattress. Free breakfast is served in the morning between 8-10. The communal kitchen is nice. There's wifi in the main bar and kitchen area. Along with a pool table and skate ramp.

The most epic chilled electronic music parties over the weekend, overlooking the stunning Wilderness coastline on the Garden Route! Don't feel like driving home after a lavish night of good tunes, great wood fired pizza and very well priced drinks? No problem! They have neat and affordable accommodation and great camping facilities, with a light breakfast on the house in the morning. A must see!
