I think the rooms are a bit to dark and needs stronger light. The kitchen does not have much space and the water seeps into the cupboards which gives off a mouldy smell. The staff also needs checking up on re the cleaning. The plant life and outside facilities are awesome. Some places need to be wheelchair friendly. There is no control re the noise at the outside pool which goes on till about 4 am in the morning. Surely even the outside pools should have a cut off time at night seeing that it's right next to the self catering apartments. The reception staff are not warm and welcoming. You need to smile and welcome your customers. Good service and proper checking up on the self catering apartments will ensure that people will come...

Visited the water park on a day visit. Nothing exciting. Only one indoor pool to swim in. 1 kids pool and 2 slides. Not enough tubes. There should be an outdoor pool coz not everyone wants to swim indoors. Has braai spots tables benches loungers and an upper deck to relax. It's fun for a while then its boring. There's a tuck shop. Entrance fee has gone up but it won't break the bank unless you have a big family. One thing that scares me is the lifeguards...they're all very tiny in physique like school kids so don't know how they would assist an adult or larger sized person if needed. All in all its not bad for some relaxation considering it's not a coastal province so it offers some...

First of all we got here last night we we were given bad attitude by the security guard at the gate. Secondly this morning we were told we had to buy our own sunlight liquid & dishwashing cloth, that time we booked a self catering chalet. As far as i know self catering accommodations have everything you need. Now 2 of the outside lights r not working, i had to go to the reception to report it & the lady gave me a bad attitude, asked me why didn't we report it? Just because we r blacks we have to be treated this way?

This is totally unacceptable, you people choseb to run a business & you must give us the best customer service that...

I was pleasantly taken surprised by this gem of a place in Secunda. It was my first trip to Secuda and I always thought of it as just an industrial area with hostels. Lake Umuzi exceeded all my expectations! It should be classified as a tourist attraction. You get everything you need in 1 place, restaurants, shops ...and I thoroughly enjoyed the proximity of Capellos (1 minute walk, within the gated community), so it was perfectly safe for us. And best of all? The silence in the rooms is golden! You'd think you'll hear blaring music from Capellos at night but nope, none, just your own thoughts! And it's Eco-friendly!!! It was awesome!

We were harassed every other minute to see if people who were booked in the chalets were as per number booked. At a point a security guard bugded into our chalet as if we had stolen something , this was Sunday evening. Invading our privacy as if it means nothing. We're being guarded into the lodge and being kicked out the lodge as if we're school kids and we didn't pay. I'm so not impressed with the service at Umuzi lodge, worst of all is that I'm an air hostess, in every town every other day.

Had an absolute blast at Aquazone with friends. R120 entrance fee. Indoor pool. Four water slides, of which one is a tube slide and one is an ultra fast slide. Braai facilities is available and you can enter with our own food and drinks. No alcohol or hubbly bubbly allowed. Great time for the family and lifeguards are present. Opens at 10h00 and closes at 17h00. Be sure to get there early so that you can secure a good spot under the shade and get a tube to slide with
