EIGHT PALMS Guest House — Hotel in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! My experience with Eight Palms Guest House was absolutely appalling. Racist, rude, and disgraceful! Due to unforeseen flight delays, I informed Camien of my late arrival (22:17 ETA at the guesthouse) while driving alone at night from Durban, as I was to attend a funeral the following day. She misunderstood me to be saying I’m leaving Durban at 22:17, which was strange as the message was quite clear. Instead of responding with care or seeking clarification, she immediately turned hostile and rude. It didn’t stop there—she started calling me names, cursing at me, and making an already stressful situation unbearable. Despite me trying to explain that she misunderstood the message, her behavior then escalated to being downright despicable, with disgusting racial slurs and degrading insinuations.||Despite all the glowing reviews, Camien’s true character quickly came to light. She resorted to vicious insults and even had the audacity to threaten me with security if I so much as set foot at the guesthouse! She then blocked me. Her actions were beyond unprofessional; they were vile, appalling, and utterly disgraceful.||Do NOT stay at this guest house! This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a host. You’ve been warned—this place is run by a hateful person who doesn’t deserve...

From my first phone call to make our booking to checkout my experience with Eight Palms was amazing. Camien was very accommodating towards us as we had a third visitor with us. She truly went out or her way and was even checking on us as we were driving there. You really cant get better service than that and I am in the industry. I take my hat of to you for your outstanding service. Room is fully equipped and attention to detail for sure. Small things like a water bottle each on arrival and the list continue. Stayed at Eight Palms over the weekend 19 -21 April. Camien, Thank you for the awesome host you were from the initial stages of reservation. Your warm and caring nature for your guests is remarkable. A delightful and tastefully furnished cottage, home from home. Loved the touch of the Bibles in the rooms. We loved the peace, tranquility and quietness of the home.
