I stayed here for just one night during the Christmas week, between two visits to the Skillpad Rest Camp. Kamieskroon is a quiet and somewhat dusty Northern Cape town, and while I didn’t have high expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation.
What made the stay even more enjoyable were the hosts, Celesté and the eponymous Harry. Although I didn’t speak much with Harry, Celesté was warm and engaging, sharing some fascinating stories about how they came to settle in the town.
The meals were a highlight—Celesté took care of the preparation, while Harry focused on the meat. Dinner was delicious, beautifully presented, and complemented by a refreshing cold beer. Breakfast the next morning was hearty and satisfying.
Their love for animals added a charming touch to the experience. They have three lovely dogs and an impressively large Maine Coon cat, which is playful but has sharp teeth—something to keep in mind!

It is a stunning guest house, the warm atmosphere made us feel right at home. We were welcomed with true Northern Cape hospitality. The quiet surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind after a long day of travelling. I would definitely recommend, whether stopping over for travelling or staying there to see the area.
The location made it an easy stop over for travelling to or from Namibia as it is just a short way off the N7. We were travelling with family and friends, and their accommodation fit us all comfortably. They had a very nice stoep where we could sit and relax, and a trampoline for the children.
The supper and breakfast was delicious and delightful. There was more than enough variety and quantity to satisfy almost anyone.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. They also each had their own en suite bathroom.

This place is a wonderful stay! The beautiful back porch with a cozy sitting area is a great spot to relax. The bedroom is spacious and beautifully decorated. You'll also enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi and the fun of an outside trampoline for kids.
