Kambro Kind Guest House — Hotel in Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality

We drove to Sutherland recently without having made any reservations anywhere,but needed a place to overnight.We arrived just before sunset and was advised by another guesthouse to speak to Juanita at Kambro kind since they had no rooms available...we thought that by the looks of it that we would propably sleep outside but Juanita welcomed us with open arms and assured us all was well.She immediately took care of our needs and set us up with two houses just outside of the town on their farm.She also gave us firewood for the braai/barbeque since we wanted to spend most of the evening outside - we came all the way from Cape Town to show my sister and brother in law the famous Sutherland stars!! And boy was it worth it!!...the stars were amazing!!! The only other thing that must be said is that you have to see it for yourself!! The local people are very friendly and always willing to help....I would recommend the Kambro kind guesthouse with Juanita and her team any day...my next mission over there will be to spend some time there to experience the winter snow!!!..Well done Kambro kind !!! 5...

We arrived on Friday night at 7pm after 4 hours of driving, excausted and the toilet flush didn't work. The male owner (after half an hour of trying to fix it with no success) was extremely rude, offering either to wait 20 minutes to be filled or to fill it with 5 littres water bottles. ( this was not also true, the whole first night we were hearing the water dripping but not filling, no sleep at all).When I expained that both me and my husband have back problems, he offered himself every time I need flushing I should call him, of course ironically!!!!Long story short we paid (5 months in advance the total amount, no cancelation policy) for one room with en suite bathroom for two nights and we had toilet for only 21 hours. We had a lovely stay at Kambro Kind Guest House. The warm hospitality and friendliness of Juanita since the day I made my booking until we arrived, made us feel so welcome. She even assist us after hours with the stargazing experience. The lovely atmosphere, and comfortable accommodation is really like home away from home. The attention to detail at the guesthouse were admirable. The guesthouse were well equipped for the cold days and nights of Sutherland. It is perfectly located in the town and close to all amenities.
