Stayed here for 5 nights, had a good relaxing time. ||||Room: our room was basic but had everything we needed. Great working AC, hot water and fridge. Bed was a little less soft than our ideal, but typical for this part of the world :) We had read about Karaoke happening nearby, and only heard it one night but it stopped by 10pm, so we weren't bothered by it during our stay.||||Staff: The staff were great, the girl who speaks English (I forget her name :( was always around and able to help out with any questions or plan making necessary. ||||Food: There is a restaurant on site, for which the family who owns the hotel cook, however the food isn't the best and we found it pricey (of course, there's no denying the convenience though). Otherwise, there's a spot accross the street which we saw seemed to serve food (didn't try it though) or you can walk about 2 km (down the street to the main road, take a left and take the next street on the left) and there's many delicious restaurants right there! You can also just walk along the beach (go right when you get to it) and walk to the restaurants of the nearby fancies resorts in that direction.||||Nearby Beaches: rocky beach 100m away from hotel, about 2 mins walk to the right there's a really nice, not very busy beach; Ong Lang Beach was about 40 mins walk on the street and absolutely beautiful). ||||Transportation: Taxi ride into town to the night market was about 120 000, for those who might want to go to the night market, and taxi to Hoi An Pier cost us a little less than 400 000/way. To the airport cost us about 250 000. You also have the option to rent a moped for about 150 000/day (however make sure to research everything you need to know when doing so in Vietnam to avoid finding yourself in a sticky situation!).||||*on a side note, walking back to the hotel at night, once it's completely dark, we saw some fireflies about half way from the main road and the hotel, so keep an eye out! :)||||All in all, a good stay for someone wanting to be away from the crowds, and just to relax...
Read moreOur hosts, Roger and Leoni, were the perfect hosts, giving very friendly, interesting and useful info during our stay, and great breakfasts. The unit was clean and well equipped, although the 2nd bedroom did not have its own shower. The stoep and braai area allowed one to enjoy the beautiful garden and some nice views. The car was safely locked in, but the road towards Geckos B & B was in a bad state, as was part of the road towards Koffiebaai (not the owners' mistake!). It was good to see that the pathway towards the beautiful beach has been improved since our visit last year and the Saturday night Seafood Buffet at the local hotel was even better...
Read moreOur second time travelling to Coffee Bay, and by far the best accommodation we've had! Rodger and Leoni are fantastic hosts - extremely welcoming and helpful to all our needs. They truly 'go the extra mile'. Our room was very well equipped, rustic and cozy and the breakfast every morning was a real treat! We did an amazing 10km hike to Hole in the Wall and they were kind enough to offer us a ride back home. Coffee Bay is one of the most beautiful, authentic and unspoilt places to visit in South Africa, and they made the experience even more memorable.Thank you! Will surely be...
