GARIEPVIEW — Hotel in Kopanong Local Municipality

Great overnight place. Various rooms at good pricing especially when booking through LekkeSlaap. I found the site via LekkeSlaap online booking looking for an overnight stay at Gariep dam wich is a few kms outside Colesberg. About 6/7 hours from Gauteng. The we had, had a semi-dam view. The inside of the room immediately gave a feeling of cleanliness and neat. A modern look with everything you need. Just no WiFi. But good cellular reception. There are a few meal / restaurant options just don't wsit too late. The Forever resort restaurant is very good. Good safe parking at Gariep view. I will stay here again anytime. The check-in was well communicated by the site owner / management via WhatsApp. Very convenient...

The view will make you want to stay long after your trip has ended.

We only spent one night at Gariepview but the incredible view from the Private Suite made us want to extend our stay. The rooms are clean, the owners/staff are very accomodating and the overall experience was one we won't soon forget.

Make sure to pack warm clothes when visiting in the winter. The suite has a well equipped kitchen. It is situated in the heart of Gariep, close to all amenities. It is valuable to note that all the windows do not come equipped with curtains so if you struggle to sleep in a room with natural light this might be a problem.

Beautiful self catering accommodation. However a curtain can be put up on the bedroom side as light does come through from the lamp poles outside.

A milk would have been nice in the fridge on arrival. So be sure to take some.

A bit of green can also be placed inside for it to look less clinical

Some tiles are a bit hollow, so be careful not to drop a cup or glass at the wrong place as it will crack.

A fire would have been nice to sit an enjoy the beautiful view.

But overall very nice...
