We had booked for a group of 5 people. The small flatlet we got only had one bedroom with two single bed and en-suite bathroom. (This was not a log cabin) The we had a sliding bathroom door but the gaps between the wall and door resulted in being able to see right into the kitchen when sitting on the toilet. The shower was extremely ditry, all the wall mountings were falling off the wall ie. towel rack soap dish.. The basin was so tiny that you can barely fit your hand underneath to wash them. The distance between the sink and the counter to place you stuff was so small that you could barely brush your teeth there. The "Other bedroom" was with the kitchen it had a bunker bed (Double bed at the bottom and single bed on top) There's no sense of privacy. and co-gender residing would not be ideal in this flatlet. I would definitely not recommend this place to stay. There's a lot of false adverting and would suggest you ask the reception on the number of bedroom and bathroom available...

Mountain Breeze is centrally situated in the Tsitsikamma area and is 10 to 15 minutes drive away from everything.
The cabins are rustic, cozy and inviting and have thoughtful touches that give it a homely feel. There are a variety of coffees on offer, and a beautiful Fynbos range of shampoos and soaps. There are also extra blankets (our stay was in winter, so the blankets were MOST welcome).
The view that you wake up to in the morning is simply breathtaking.
What to remember: these cabins are beautifully rustic, and might not be to your liking if you prefer fancy hotel rooms. They do, however, offer traditional rooms. its self catering. Bring extra coffee, milk, food etc (depending on the length of your stay). they offer braai facilities, as well as a stunning communal boma. undercover parking is available. in winter: DONT FORGET YOUR JACKET AND BOOTS - IT CAN GET VERY COLD.
Geocachers - go find Elands Delight GCX2QF...
Read moreIf you are heading down the Garden route and need a place to stay, I can highly recommend Mountain Breeze log cabins. Not 5 stars in the traditional sense, but gets 5 stars from me. Our cabin had everything we needed (except food, being self-catering), we had friendly service from Herman, who manages the cabins and the Protea farm and whenever we wanted a shower or needed to do the dishes, the water was hot and ready. Amenities are clean, each cabin has its own braai area and the communal braai area also has a fire pit.Amazing.Absolutely great staying here. If I didn't miss my dogs and my cat so much I'd be really sad...
