Elgin Guesthouse — Hotel in Kwa Sani Local Municipality

We arrived late in the evening after dropping of a team participating at Sani2C. Our room, although large and spacious was infested with large mosquitos. The entire perimeter of the ceiling was covered in them. Lindiwe, the most helpful house lady / manager / cook / cleaner / all round star who was also the only person that we interacted with did her best to give us the only spray she had, which was a near empty bottle of a lemon citronella herbal mist that was useless against over 100 mosquitos. Booked online as had availability short notice due to MTB event. For the fee I paid for 2 nights, the room service was very basic (bed and bathroom). Didn't empty bin or change used tea cups or top up the delicious biscuits. Otherwise room was clean, hot shower (unfortunately only low pressure), heater and heated blanket. There was no shower gel or shampoo, but lotion ...guess was forgotten to provide. Breakfast was very basic, but good. Situated on a working dairy farm this B+B offers fantastic views overlooking lush green fields that roll down to a dam, which is framed by a picturesque mountains on the horizon.

While there is a dirt road it is short and in very good condition and you shouldn't have any problems in a normal sedan.

The unit we stayed in was tranquil and found it to be very relaxing.
